Phone first, tell them of your symptoms and concerns, don't leave it any longer, you must be seen asap.

Good luck John.

Not being on holiday....
100% agree with above and if you get no joy then speak to your GP.
I am one of the lucky ones who has a top GP surgery who can and have moved mountains for me and indeed other members of my family.

All the best sir

Thanks for those replies.

The reason why I am asking is that usually anytime I go to emergency they give me an outpatients appointment for in a month, however I already have one mid August ?

Well I would go to emergency anyway, just in case something has changed. It's not worth taking a risk where eyes are concerned.

Actually I live in Dublin. I did end up going to emergency. Doc couldn't see back of eye, doubted that was detached tho. Back on 13th Aug .can't see out of it at the mo. Left eye is grand.

Their policy is they only op if it's still there after 6 months. Have to wait it out again.

They do a great job and I would be blind without them.

Certainly the heaviest bleed I've ever had over the last 6 years.

3 lasers in each eye in that time, cataracts, 3 injections in each eye. But no op yet.

I am sleeping with my head raised. Usually helps.

At least I can see outlines/colours of things still with this eye so something is still working in there.
