hi, i am a type 2 diabetic i take 5 metformin tablets and 5 dosages of insulin daily and they are high dosages, i am currently waiting to hear about gastric bypass surgery and need to lose 9 lbs in weight to go on the waiting list i have started to do a lot of walking and eating healthy but the weight won't budge please help xx

Hi jeanette and welcome to the forum.
Have a look on the Greetings and Introductions board at the topic, "Basic Information for Newly Diagnosed Diabetics" and see if the eating advice there is the same as your healthy eating plan. It might be that you need to tweak some of the portion sizes of the foods that you are eating.

Hey buddy,
I agree with the Shawn5 agreement and also wanna say that you will need this kind of the help in regards of losing weight with diabetes and using insulin also... Best of luck buddy for your health related issues and diabetes....
