How do I send a private message?

I did that but it brings me to a blank mailbox with no option to compose a message to another member.

Yes blank mailbox. You enter the partipant's name in the top box and message below.

You won't be able to send a private message until you have made a certain number of posts.

So just keep posting on the forum, and when you have done enough, your pm option will open up.
