I have Asperger Syndrome which is an autism spectrum condition and a full diagnosis of Adult ADHD which are characterised by impairments in social communication, social interaction and social imagination. I also have a rigid and somewhat unpredictable routine. I also experience obsessive rituals, some a bit overwhelming. But I have a talent in articulate creative writing skills and possess a photographic rote memory. I have sensory sensitivity and get upset by loud noises, bright colours or lights, and notice the texture and consistency of certain foods more making my dietary choices extremely limited or restricted to certain food components. I dislike conflict and lies. The Adult ADHD also makes me very moody and cross.
My Carer and Max gave me my morning medication and then I ate Max's home made beef stew with suet dumplings, several portions, a weird breakfast I know. My blood glucose now was 10.3. I also saw my dietitian and she weighed me noting I've lost a tiny amount of weight as I weigh just over fourteen stones.

Black clouds here after morning rain.
Far cooler and my bgs are reflecting... already.
I'm far less stressed.

Son is watching 'Zig and Sharko' on Netflix. How bizarre !!!
Oh it's 'Oggy and the Cockcroches' now.

They forget I'm a girl. . I'm sure.

Thank god for this forum for distraction. Ha ha

I've found some new relaxing games too. They stop me worrying about up and coming precedure and op.

This morning I had very bad upset tummy. We've put it down to hot weather on cheese I bought from my corner shop.(just, came to that conclusion as I was mystified till then) I had to use immodium to get reprieve. I didn't have clamminess or temperature so I risked one tablet to stop tummy cramps. It was like jelly belly from abroad food. Ouch!!!
Not painfully any more now. Yipee.

I'll be glad to see back of high 20s up here. Too hot for me without an a/c unit.

Lower bgs due to less stress. Lovely. :)

My blood sugar this morning at 4:55 Ante Meridian British Summer TIME on Saturday 11th August 2018 Anno Domini was 6.5 Millimoles Per Litre. This is a fasting blood sugar before my medication which I'm taking at 6.

Hope you've all had a good weekend . Ron's been struggling to roll over in bed so I've been looking online for aids to help him. Came across snozzle slide sheets . They seem to be helping , pitty it don't help with sleep. Saturday he got up at 7.30am by 9.30 am had to help him back to bed he slept for the rest of the morning getting up at 1pm. However this morning it was 8.45 before he got up and has been fine all day. So nice to have rain to cool everything down.

My pelvis locks in bed. Up until recently I've been in bottom bunk and I've used top bunk runners as a hoist.
A few days ago I started sleeping on a memory foam and it has been horrendous. I've sunken into mattress so even harder to turn over.
Has Ron got a memory foam mattress making it harder for him?

Ps. I'm soooo busy since kids broke up. I'm rarely on forum lately.

No longer on metformin so just losing 1kg per fortnight. My weight loss is extremely slow.
Having menopause blood test check tomorrow. No periods at all. Little part of me recognises it as a symptom of PCOS. We'll see thou.
Had a full blood count done last week so due my results tomorrow too.

Yes we do have a memory foam mattress. Absolute god send we find with our backs . Have tried other mattresses but we never had a good nights sleep on them. He didn't sleep to good last night due to constant pins and needles. Ron's been without metformin now for about 7 weeks and still no change in bgs . I to haven't had any periods ,it's been 6 months now . Getting night sweats and irritable . So the rain we've had has been so nice cooled everything down.

I've lost another 1kg in 2wks so that's 2kgs in 4wks. I might just get 3-4kgs off in 6wks like requested by new surgeon. :) :) :)
May have sweated it off thou. Ha ha
Plenty of water and protein replaced even more of my small carb allowance.

Its a long road.... even with an op.

I quite envy the American style. If insurance covers it or you pay yourself.... it only takes weeks or months if you're unlucky.

I'm sure it's been 18mths since I said yes to my diabesity specialist. Another month or more yet....
I must have the patience of a Saint.
I'm sure it will be worth the wait. :) :) :)
Especially if I can get unpainful walking... running/jogging, cycling and swimming again. A numb toe or two won't stop me.

I bet you all sick of hearing about my upcoming op. Even I'm bored with the anticipation.

Bless you.
I'm really having to painfully got through every stage... very very slowly.
I'll make them all proud. Especially my hugely supportive GP and of course you @tina_marie. Of whom I'd have cracked up by now. You truly are an angel !!! Thank you for your constant support.

And you too @JohnnyBaker12021970 and @heh and a few no longer posting members on joining.

Even @DCUKMod has convinced me she is a dark horse and hugely supportive. Thanks.
I do appreciate it. I never take this forum for granted and its access to brilliant diabetic family members. :) :) :)

I do promise a before and after pic.

I will always support you, my dear @ickihun, as you have also been of paramount support to me. Even though I experience immense trials of my faith, I still have a prayer candle which I light for you every morning at 6 and every evening at 6. I pray for @13lizanne, @heh and Debrasue, too. I believe these things are sent to try us. Jesus said in Matthew 24 that we're living in the end times and "...he that endureth unto the end will be saved". I look forward to a day when we're all united in Heaven as one Body, exonerated by all our diseases as "...the Lord took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses". Thank you, Jesus.

I've been called many a thing in my lifetime but never an angel . Thank you. When I first joined you were the one who taught me alot about how other parts of the body could be affected by diabetes and what to lookout for . I never thought that Ron would have so many problems . Being on here I've learnt so much . I only hope now that after 2 years he can finally start to get the help he needs and that both Ron and you can start to get back to things you both enjoyed .

My back went at about 4.30 this morning, I am in a lot of pain and can hardly move. I'm even considering the oramorph I've got on stock :bigtears:

I hope your day is better.

Oh no. :( :( :(
Has this happened before and if so what helps with the painkillers? Walking or just gentle movement?

Yes, it happened just as I was being diagnosed with T2 in March 2017 and I still have some oramorph in date from then. Getting up and moving regularly helps.

Bless you. I hope you bounce back quickly. I'm feeling for you.
I think I told you about knocking my pelvis on sofa arm. It has set my movement improvement back. Crying to bend to sit on toilet seat. A&E asked for a wee sample. I was whimpering like live road kill. :(
Then they didn't need it. Argh!!

I went to see my consultant psychiatrist in my care programme approach review meeting and we discussed my self-neglecting and other symptoms and she says it sounds like I've got a nasty type of Depression in addition to my Asperger Syndrome. And also, Vanessa, my care coordinator is soon taking me to look around a new 24 hour care supported housing establishment in Croydon to meet the staff and the other residents.
