Omni pod & absorption sites

Hi everyone. I’ve placed my pod on my thigh and I’ve noticed my sugars are higher than usual. I’ve noticed this has happened in the past when I’ve used my thigh too! I’m putting this down to the absorption rate. My question is, should I increase my basal rate while I have my pod on my thigh?? Xx

There was some past work (reference escaped me at present) which indicated that absorption of insulin occurs fastest from the tissue under the skin of the abdomen than the abdomen.
You will need to discuss with your DSN or doctor what to do about your basal and bolus doses.
