Question about GLP - 1 medication

I am interested to hear whether there are any members of the forum who were put on one of the medications in this group and had to stop because of the side effects, but then tried another drug in this group - in particular one of the slow release ones with a once - a - week - dosage and was able to tolerate it with no problems.

I was put on Victoza and had to stop after a month because it wreaked havoc with my stomach (excruciating cramps, and constipation and diarrhea). One specialist I saw at the time said I might be able to handle one of the once - a - week dosage slow release medications such as Bydureon. Later on, I heard other people say that if you can't handle one (GLP-1 drug), you won't be able to tolerate any of them.

Sorry, Diakat, but I don't quite see what the specific problem was with my query (I wasn't asking for advice on medication but for other members' experiences in regard to a particular class of medication), so I'll be glad if you could just spell it out for me.

Sorry to interject but what Diakat is saying is that she is bumping your query to the top of 'Recent Posts' in an effort to enable more members to notice it (occasionally threads are posted in succession so quickly that one or two can go unnoticed if few people comment on them). It is not because there is a problem with your thread at all. I hope you get some answers soon.

Apologies for any worry caused. As @Guzzler said I was pushing it up the recent posts list as some members do not look at the different sections.
I have no experience of the drugs you list but perhaps a forum Search might help?

Hi Diakat, thanks to you and Guzzler for clearing that up and sorry for the misunderstanding. I referred to the injectable drugs Victoza, Byetta, Bydureon, Lyxumia, and the more recent addition, Trulicity. Was just curious to know whether anyone has tried more than one of them and whether the results differed. I don't know actually know where the forum is, so if you can send me a link to it, I'll post the query there (as well)/
