Coco nibs?

I have a recipe for low carb granola bars which has coco nibs as an ingredient.

Could I use dark chocolate (70%) as a substitute?

Thanks

Cocoa nibs are around 15g carbs per 100g whereas 70% chocolate is around 34g per 100g so they will be higher carb than stated in your recipe. You’ll need to recalculate the total carb count taking this into consideration.

Cacao nibs would be better carb wise than 70% choc
Taste wise cacoa nibs are quite bitter - like a very very dark chocolate - so 90-100% chocolate would be closer than 70%
Ive not cooked with chocolate much but have found that cacoa nibs dont melt as much as chocolate - Is any cooking involved in making the bars? - if so are the cacoa nibs added before or after cooking?
Try it and see - if you dont like it with 70% choc or if it puts your sugars up too much, then see if using cacao nibs makes a difference

Ooh, what’s the recipe? I snack on cocoa nibs instead of chocolate, they’re wonderfully crunchy :)

They look delicious. Cocoa nibs are pretty cheap though, they do them in the baking ingredients section in Aldi and Lidl.
