Hi, I'm new to this site, diagnosed T2 in Sept 2016. I'm on Metformin 500mg morning and evening. I did think sometime in December that my hair was looking a bit less dense than usual, but it seems ok now. I'm also on Levothyroxine, diagnosed underactive thyroid Dec 2016, so I suppose it could've been my thyroid or the Metformin, but whatever it was it seems to have sorted itself out.

All medications have side effects
I agree. I also faced a problem of hair loss. I tried several masks, but didn't have much result. So, I decided to use DIY treatment methods. I started rinsing my hair with apple cider vinegar (you can find more information here). It really has helped me as it solves hair loss issues, prevent thinning hair, closes the hair cuticles and adds shine to locks. Hopefully, this information will be useful for someone!

I’ve been losing a ton of hair in the last 4 months, so down about it.
I’m currently on 500mg metformin a day.
I’m going to try to ditch the metformin for a month to see if it improves. My big levels are good generally 4-5 as I follow a low carb diet.
I feel for you it’s so horrible x
