Hiya, I too also feel like you have described light fuzzy headed sore puffy eyes with blurry vision, dizzy n bit giddy like oddly drunk sensation in brain, focus n eyesight poorer n harder to see clearly have to concentrate more to make sense out of the 'fog' sort of thing .... Know exactly what you mean . Anna.x :?

Hiya, Wat are your BS readings when you feel like this??? mine are always mid-high teens, am ALWAYS late 9.9 - 13 upon waking up [fasting] , also when I go out to the shops like morrisons or aldi or tesco I feel worse , more giddy n dizzy n woozy have wondered IF it was the lights in these stores? My eyes puff up n go fuzzier in focus n I definetely NEED my glasses as I potter round store.... Its so frustrating n impacts on me not enjoying getting out n about without having to keep blinking to get better focus and make a concentrated effort to keep my balance n walk properly. Am going to mention this to my new DSN plus the eye specialist when I next go. Anyone got any angles on what this could be related too besides high BS levels. [am yet out of control diabetic] despite injections! Anna.x :?

This is all rather odd. Before I was diagnosed, I used to get a similar thing happen to me in Sainsbury's, but always near the freezers. At the time I wondered if it was the lights or maybe a certain pitch of sound from the freezers.

I haven't had it happen for ages now but my BG stays between 3.9 and 5.7 for most of the time so I must assume that's solved it. Either that or Sainsbury's have changed something.

I still get a funny feeling at the checkout, but that's just shock at the size of the bill!

Hi Megan, what medications are you taking at the mo?
I've noticed as my control has been better lately, that if I have a hormonal day :( & my sugars swing a bit I can feel a bit dozy and I certainly feel it if my BG goes above 8. I don't know if it's sign of getting older but I feel the ups and downs more now in my 40s than I did in my 20s. If you're sugars r swinging a bit that might be why you're feeling grotty??
