That does look good. I shop anywhere and everywhere these days. Mainly Waitrose but most of the other places from time to time.
Ah! Waitrose. When we go down south we always apply for tickets to wander round a Waitrose. It’s very posh. We do have a Sainsbury a few miles away but you are not alowed in without an escort.

Don't know about Waitrose being posh. For over 30 years it had been the only supermarket within 30 minute drive (or place you could rely on all wheels still being there when returning to car) of our house until last Easter when Morrisons arrived. Escort for Sainsbury's? They do seem to enjoy charging premium prices for produce which is definitely not premium IMHO.

People who think they know everything.
Strange weather today. This day last year was -2 and today it was 19!! It was our monthly shopathon and it was lovely seeing people wandering around in Sheffield city centre with T shirts and shorts or dresses.

We have now got freezers groaning full of all kinds of goodies so there can be no excuse for me not to have a lovely varied diet this month.

Today...

Breakfast: Bacon, egg, high meat content chipolatas, mushrooms, two tablespoons of baked beans, big mug of black decaff coffee

Lunch: Some warm spicy lamb mince stuff sprinkled with feta (no idea what the spices were but I'm guessing cinnamon, cardamom, cumin and some garlic) from the Turkish supermarket. Whatever it was was absolutely stunning and I will try to reproduce it when Mr C has finished his annual leave.

Cup of coffee on a bench outside a cafe in the sunshine

Dinner: Chicken and chorizo traybake with red peppers and fennel and a green side salad

Dessert: Strawberries dipped in melted chocolate

Not enough liquids today

Evening all. Posting quickly before heading to Pilates - change of night this week.

Lunch was smoked salmon and cream cheese followed by a bag of M&S pork crackling and 24g Vivani 92% chocolate. Delicious and 13g carbs per 100g. Left the remainder for colleagues - my new portion control method.

Dinner was 2 Waitrose free range Cumberland sausages, 2 fried eggs and 2 rashers bacon followed by some whipped Jersey cream and almond butter. Encouraged (as if I needed it) by my food tracking app (see attached) I had seconds!

Now on a 48 hour fast - starting early. Have posted on the other thread @Chook and @shelley262

@ianpspurs I guess the footie team are all quite small. Find it very strange to be described as petite - not a description fitting of most of my life!

Today had breakfast of one slice HiLo toast with lots butter and tea, rushed cos had to take OH to next town. Got back an hour later and had the ncessary second mug of tea.
Lunch was Greek salad, coleslaw, radishes and (shamefully) one scotch egg from M&S. levels were exactly 2 above after 2 hours so I guess it was ok. Not to be indulged very often methinks and I didnt really need it.
Supper is another big lamb steak with brocolli on the side. Whether I have anything after is still a mystery but the options are LoCal jelly or Montezuma Orange and cocoa nib choc, my current fave but I equally love Lindt 90% and always have it in.

Hi all
Roller coaster of a day which started with surgery being scheduled for mum but luckily ended in good news so back home tomorrow after day at Barnsley hospital today with mum
Breakfast one slice bacon, egg and mushrooms
Lunch flask coffee and cream at hospital - from previous experience coffee there is not good!
Dinner Toby carvery had turkey, pork, cauliflower cheese (sauce probably a bit carb ridden will see later), swede and tiny bit of onion gravy - now sat at mums with much needed glass of red.
Starting a 48 hour fast either tomorrow or Wednesday will decide tomorrow long journey so may find it easy will see how I feel. I’ll let you know when report food or not tomorrow!

Nice, I like Kimchi and sometimes make it myself. Rather than buy the gochugaru I just use cayenne pepper as it’s already in my kitchen.
Kimchi livened up the salad so might keep on mixing some in, gunna get some sauerkraut and try that as well in a salad.

We have got a new Korean restaurant that has just opened here in Bundy, might have have a look and see what they have on offer.

It’s very posh up here, not a Waitrose to be found.

Out and about early today. Mrs Miggins is in Spain with her twin sister on a jolly so I’m calling in to see her mother every day.
Also, got a bike for sale on flea bay so had to spruce it up a bit- I hate dusting and cleaning. Quinten Crisp had the right idea about that.
Breakfast; a glass of my tumeric and chaga tea followed by a mug of Yorkshire tea, followed by a cafetiere of kofee.
Lunch; A small poke bowl with some salad, tuna, wakame, tabiko flyingfish roe, macadamian nuts, pickled ginger, sesame dressing and sriracha dressing.
Dinner; I roasted a chicken in the slow cooker. Half tonight, half tomorrow. Pudding of joghurt, cream, blackberries and chia.

okra. Cigarette smoke, old, new, and permeating a room, wafting from a balcony, etc etc. That I have so many chronic diseases. That I take so very many meds. Being cold. Anything too loud, but specifically non-classical music and the television.
@shelley262 so very very glad for good news, and that’s wonderful to get it the same day!!

Ho hum, more weather, more things happened but ultimately nothing changed. Maybe I should back a rerun or just leave at midnight.
Tea and cocoa until lunch at about 1.30 - 22 hrs fast? Lunch was a dolls house sized sandwich - livlife bread - chicken mayo. Evening meal was normal mackerel and avocado salad.
@DJC3 hope you had a good journey and once emotions have settled down you have a great time with your niece. @shelley262 glad everything went as well as these things can with your mum.
Tasted almond butter today expecting it to be putrid but it was quite acceptable - no idea what to with it though.

Evening everyone
As I’m taking part in the little group fast going on this week, and I’m away the weekend I’ve had to be organised to get my new recipe of the week on early :
Breakfast - Peanut & chocolate protein bar with coffee
No lunch
Late afternoon - one of my little chocolate cakes from the weekend with a cup of coffee
Dinner https://www.dietdoctor.com/recipes/keto-chicken-club-casserole but served with a salad of lettuce, cucumber and red onion. Another success - I’ve decided as long as the recipe contains mature cheddar I’m generally easily pleased :)
Not decided yet whether to fast from waking tomorrow or after lunch - will see how ravenous I wake up and I’m swimming tomorrow night so may decide to lunch to give me more energy

Evening all. First off @shelley262 what a great end to the day, I’m so pleased for you and your mum. Enjoy that glass of red.
Just a quick post so as not to seem rude in front of family
Made a packed brunch to take on train - flaxseed roll filled with salami and emmental
Coffee and cream when first arrived at hotel.
Tea with milk at SiLs
Dinner in a local pub with them was supposed to be a wagyu burger but it was just a small dry overcooked nondescript burger. Disappointing, no roll or chips and they didn’t put extra salad on either.
Had a Carb Killer bar in my bag so ate that afterwards as I was still quite hungry.
1 gin and soda.

Cold has kicked in so feeling achy and a bit under par. Very annoyed it has struck now when I survived all winter without a sniffle.

Hugs for the cold and the disappointing burger - hate when food out isn’t really worth the money

. Does anyone have an good recipe for kimchi? I picked up a jar in our health food shop and put straight back due to it being ridiculously priced. Definitely need to go the homemade route....

Good luck with the fasts @shelley262 @Goonergal and @Emma_369. Sorry if I've missed anyone out! I might be joining you with a small fast tomorrow, probably from breakfast tomorrow to breakfast or even lunchtime Wednesday. I've got a busy couple of days work wise, so it seems like a good time to give it a go. The good news is that I've finally got past my weight loss plateau that had stuck around since Christmas ! I've dropped at least 2 pounds, so OMAD and skipping lunch has helped.

Today's menu was:

Breakfast: Chocolate chia pudding. Coffee.
Lunch: Nothing for me, but tons of green tea with lemon, rose hip and hibiscus tea. Mr B had a cold roast beef salad with avocado, chicory, fennel, lemon, Parmesan, capers and avocado oil. Mr B had a small piece of 85% choc.
Pre yoga snack: Chocolate chia pudding, square of 85% choc.
Dinner: Mr B had tomato, mushroom, basil and Parmesan frittata with salad leaves. Post yoga, I had a small piece of frittata and a couple of oatcakes with mashed avocado sprinkled with pul biber chilli flakes. One square of 85% choc each and decaf coffee.

We have security guards in the supermarket / shops here as well.

Except for the Woolies online store where you can browse around in your undies if you feel like it.

Edit: Here's the link for Woolies Fresh magazine, ship loads of recipes you will enjoy decarbing.
