Morning. Crisps did their job wonderfully to see me safely through the night :). Libre says I dropped a bit first, then rose to 8 ish and slowly dropped again until I woke at 5.6 :)
Let's see what surprises I get today. :nailbiting:

People whose attitude says "Me, my opinion, my desire is greater and more important than anyone else"

And to whom the principle of ahimsa is a closed book that they refuse to open because it would make life more difficult for them.
We have two Shih-Tzu who want to be on the bed; one all night and one just in bursts. When both are there it gets a bit cramped and husband and I sleep huddled on the very edges of bed while the dogs sprawl out in luxury. Something a bit wrong there

We don't do dog on the bed... He's welcome to sleep under it...

Except... Well?
We went on a trip up the Dutch coastline last September. I made a lovely nest for the "little guy" on the front passenger seat.

The "adults" stayed up drinking wine under the awning & wound up messing about a moonlit deserted kiddy park swings in the centre of the field we were camped.

However...

This was taken the folowing morning.. "What time did you guys roll in last night?!"

I think I may have crashed out on the dog?

Happy Thursday everyone. I had a bit of a bad hypo last night, my daughter helped me, BS high this morning, but doing okay. Also, I had a phone call at 7 am to do my first School Escort job, taking 3 children to school, back home now and I will be out again at 3.30pm to pick them up, via Escort taxi to take them home.
So a few jobs need doing in the house and the garden too :).
Have a great day guys :)

@Jaylee - I don't say my husband was particularly in favour when we got together, but one look into Poppy's huge, melting eyes and he was lost ..... then Dizzy joined in with the Puss in Boots stare, and when Poppy died and Tutti arrived it just seemed natural once she was properly house-trained.(Until then she was crated beside our bed so that she could be as close as possible to her new people, and she learned to wake us up first thing to go out).

Thank heavens for your daughter! I'm so glad you're OK! :)

Thanks, I decided to make the low carb mug cakes, but things weren't going right and coco all over the place including my face, I think being out and about in the sun yesterday affected me, even though I did take less Insulin.
My daughter is a star and I love her to bits <3 :joyful:

Morning all, didn't sleep well at all last night and despite going to bed on a 6.1, was up to 7.7 when I woke up at 3.30, then 9 when I eventually got up (after a hideous dream) but with a steady arrow, then 13.4 as I went out after breakfast having bolused a little more than usual and eaten what I usually do. You know how some days you're just not up for T1 playing up? Well this is one of them :spitoutdummy:

My wife isn't really the dog person... I was brought up in a household with animals including horses.

We hadn't planned a dog. He planned me (in the midst of other events.) & I gave him a home.

He's actually a fantastic dog. His early life was with a young couple, but the boy friend mistreated him. There was evidencece he was driven off food, was head shy. he still doesn't like the sound of a foot/basket ball bouncing or being kicked... (Though he's cool with fireworks.)
In short he hated blokes... Long story short, this mut was taken on by my mum & dad. He was not too bad with my folks, but when I showed up. Lol, he flew at me. Really hated the sight. Wow mum, great you got a killer dish rag.!

Found someone else home to raid @db89 cooked breakfast too good to miss out on that but guess by now its all gone :)

You're right - I wolfed it down about 20 minutes later.. delicious it were! Eggs added to the next shopping list.

Morning all, breakfast sounds nice at db89’s, why don’t we all go round there. I’ll bring some toast for anyone who’s eating carbs and has a bolus that’s not playing up.
How do 5 dogs fit into the bed @Antje? Or even 3? Do you ever get pushed out? If cat chooses the bed for the night he has to be moved over - he’s a big cat.

It was nice thanks! :D
Toast wasn't included because of the carbs - it was more to do with not having any bread to toast this morning! I only would usually have one slice if I turned it into a cooked breakfast anyway as it's not my favourite part.

When I had my last dog, the bed was his until I came to use it then he would jump straight off for his own. I'm reminded I miss having a dog now.

@Jaylee - Poppy was a rescue who'd been starved and beaten. At some stage she'd been kicked badly because one hip was damaged beyond repair, and her tail was broken when we got her. She'd been kennelled (a tiny toy dog) with a Staffy and not much food was provided so Poppy didn't get much at all. She would happily eat junk food and we think the boy of the house fed her left over burgers and pizza.

I'm still so hugely glad she came to us although she was food shy to her dying day. Took each mouthful of her dinner behind the sofa to eat it... we didn't put her bowl there because then she'd have taken the food somewhere else to eat it. We got her through all her other problems, and she was an adorable, gorgeous dog.

I cannot understand why people get a dog if they don't want to love it and look after it. It is a total mystery! Although if I ever came across the woman who'd owned our Poppy it would take every ounce of self control I have not to make physical contact. I don't think I would, but I do think I'd disgrace myself with language....

We had an adorable dog in West Africa, a terrier-sized scruffy Heinz 57. I loved her, she was a complete softy. But she was nervous of people she didn’t know (sometimes the guards caught, cooked and ate any passing animal - can’t blame them, they weren’t paid much and were hungry) and when strangers approached she began a frenzied barking, growling, teeth-baring. We had to go out and hold her off if we wanted them to approach.
