Happy Monday team

Thank you all for your well wishes. My nose is not so sore and my eye is blacker, that said my pride is well bruised (being a Leo us lions don't take kindly to bashing ourselves)
clip_image001.png

SO... Down to business Forgot to test first thing, went in the shower had brekkies (eggy bread with bacon and 3 cherries... Mmmm! Coffee and double cream) stabbed my finger watched the blood sucked up the strip and saw the screen flash up 5.8

Now today Mon 20th I start my 7th week on insulin and am off to see, for the first time, my diabetes specialist at the hospital.
I am unsure what he will think about my 30% reduction in insulin and my 50% reduction in Glicaside in 7 weeks!

I know what I think he should say.... (My daily average is 6.0) However that might differ hugely from what he actually does say.

Watch this space as 'they' say!
Have a great day Ya all
Po

UPDATE: I have just returned from my hospital appointment.

Quote from 'The diabetic specialist' after downloading my reader readings...

"In my twelve years of working in this field this is the best set of figures I have seen. I have only seen two or three other sets of readings that come anywhere close to this in all that time!"

He went on to say... "I want you to stop taking insulin with immediate effect!"

O M G!

That's freakin' wonderful! Both what you have managed, and the reaction of your specialist! Sounds like a keeper :)

Forgive me my undisguised curiosity (can't think of a believable way to diguise it) but what happened and is it a good story? Whatever it was, I hope the other guy/gal/door/salon table is off worse than you are ;)

That sounds like great news. How do you feel about it?

I feel I am so lucky to have a wife who has spent hours and hours looking at different ways of making meals with ingredients that kept me completely on track every step of the way. I feel blessed to have found this site and learnt about how 'Low carb & Keto' can change our lives around.... If we stay the course and don't allow ourself 's to fall back to the ways that led us to T2 in the first place.
Of course there are so many factors to consider not only what we eat.

I feel so well DCUK... That is THE most succinct way to answer your question. I must say how well this site is moderated and can't sing it's and your praisers enough. This is honestly all about team work.
