Just wanted to post a quick update. I had my yearly HB1AC test which came back at 30, i’m absolutely delighted as i haven't checked my BS in the last year.
I was diagnosed T2 with a HB1AC of 54 in Feb 2017. Luckily found this forum straight away and went onto a LC diet (1000 cals a day)/exercise. This allowed me to lose 4.5 stone in 6 weeks.
I then slowly reverted back to a balanced diet, but maintained the exercise. For the first year I checked my BG regularly.
Massive thank-you to this forum, which allowed me to reject metformin and gave me the confidence to change my life.
