We all make mistakes
@lynbrown .
The most important thing is to learn from them and try to prevent it in future.
We can get upset and angry at ourselves but that is only likely to put up Bsls.
At least you got the pleasure of eating a chokkie biscuit out of it!
Take care.
PS Reminds of a story a diabetes specialist from USA told an audience. This was in Adelaide South Australia, where i live.
This doctor was on call for a hospital diabetes service and received a call one evening from a guy with TID, who he met in clinic and knew quite well.
This guy had accidentally taken his daily long acting insulin twice that evening and was ringing up to get advice.
The doctor apparently ummed and arhged for a minute or two and said to the guy, " Well, Wayne, do you have a kitchen knife about 3 to 4 inches long"?
""Yes" the guy replied a few minutes later.
"well, Wayne, do feel able to put that knife into your thigh where you injected both lots of insulin, about 1/2an inch and then suck the insulin out"?
"Um, doc, not sure i can manage that" replied Wayne.
"Alright Wayne, i have a better idea. Where is your favourite ice cream shop"?
"Oh, Baskin Robbins, doc. But i have not been there for a long time".
"wayne, this is your lucky evening then. I want you to invite all your family and friends to the ice creamery and enjoy eating ice cream for the next 12 hours with doing some finger prick tests along the way. Does that sound OK?
"Yeah, thanks doc. I owe you".
As they say, Humour is the best medicine. Best Wishes!!
