Made to feel so small

Need to vent a min. Out of for a meal for Father’s Day and I go to take my bloods. Mum says do you want to do that in the toilet in case someone doesn’t like needles. There is no one sat near us at all!!!! Makes me so mad! So I refused to do them which I no is bad but I’m not resorting to hiding either!!!

My mum can be a bit like this - she's funny about all illnesses though.

My usual retort to "someone might not like needles" is to say it won't kill them if I inject but it will kill me if I don't. That usually shuts people up. I'm discrete but have zero tolerance for people moaning about it!

I'm a newly diagnosed t1 and I tend to go somewhere private when injecting , just a personal thing , in saying that if I had to do it in front of anyone I wouldn't hesitate , do whatever your comfortable with
