My best advise is talk to your doctor about your concerns.

Is MS in the family?

If so the diabetes could be bringing out symptoms.

In Aus i went thru a lot of tests at gp level here you need referal to see nurologist.

The nuro will be able to work out whats happening.
More resurch is being done in MS and things like it every year.

A gp is for more general stuff.

Sometimes it takes time to diagnose something, as symptoms may change and tests might change in time from negative to positive.
Also new tests might be ordered or necessary or newer tests developed or new understanding be found.
You may need a second opinion.
Best Wishes.

Hi there, sorry to read about your symptoms regarding possible MS, as MS is an auto-immune condition it can be linked to type 1, but, it will be a process of elimination to find out what you might have.
Here's a link :https://beyondtype1.org/type-1-diabetes-ms/

Good luck and wishing you all the best, take care.

I Don, t have ms but because I was referred to a neurologist because of various things wrong with arms, legs etc.
The neurologist on my first visit wasn't sure if I had ms, a stroke or a TIA.
He organised a MRI for within a week. Thankfully it was neither of those but turned out to be ataxia.
