Have you worked out your ratios?Thank you @Rachox. My cholesterol is way higher which is why my GP was concerned.

Not quite sure where to begin on that - Total is 11.7, HDL 1.7, triglycerides 1.8 and LDL (this is the worrying one) 9.2.Have you worked out your ratios?
I just use an on line calculator, maths isn’t my strong point! Not quite sure where to begin on that - Total is 11.7, HDL 1.7, triglycerides 1.8 and LDL (this is the worrying one) 9.2.

Just a "victim" of medical orthodoxy and uninformed doctors probably like so many of us.This puts a totally different slant on things! Perhaps I've been overreacting (as usual).
I am still very much a learner re diabetes and there is so much contradictory information out there! It's hard to know what to believe or what to do for the best. Thank you as always for your input.Just a "victim" of medical orthodoxy and uninformed doctors probably like so many of us.
I have started to question just about everything I'm "told" these days which can have some unfortunate as well as fortunate outcomes!
Thanks Marc, here are my results.Try Dave Feldmans new toy and see how you come out on that one..

**This does not constitute medical advice**
• Your triglycerides of 1.0 mmol/L are typically considered optimal.
• We would consider your HDL of 2.2 mmol/L as strong.
• We'd consider your LDL cholesterol as in range for what we'd call a "Standard Hyper-responder". This is common for many going on a low carb diet. For more on hyper-responders, visit cholesterolcode.com/hyper-responder-faq. For a deeper explanation on our proposed mechanisms for this when powered by fat, see CholesterolCode.com/model.
mine has Low risk for the first one, Medium risk for the second one, and High risk for the third one. Its like the three bears trying to find a comfy seat lolNice one!
I have low, then medium-low, then medium. Three bears, just slightly smaller ones!mine has Low risk for the first one, Medium risk for the second one, and High risk for the third one. Its like the three bears trying to find a comfy seat lol
Mine was low, medium, medium which seems far more acceptable than high! I shan't be complacent though - I do need to make some dietary tweaks.mine has Low risk for the first one, Medium risk for the second one, and High risk for the third one. They do a cholesterol test with full breakdown at our local pharmacy, on request for £16!Awww guys...I feel I am really missing out now. I don't have any recent cholesterol figures as I refused to have it tested at my annual check. I have so long to wait till the next one lol
