Your ubiquitous plain old quart/liter Mason style canning jar is fine, search sprouting lids online.I use plastic and metal screen styles.A variety pack will have like 3 different sized holes in them for tiny to large seeds.Kitchen towel is probably a good alternative to blotting paper, TP as @Antje77 suggested is designed to dissolve in water so not so good. I am deciding which sprouting jar to get to try that method, the avocado salad picture convinced me.
I have a sprouting jar thats about 2 liter size with a fine mesh lid that I really really like.Paid about 15 dollars US,but it really is just a great jar, sorry I dont have the link.
So nice to see all the sprouters here.I do hydroponic lettuce until they bolt, which they just did,so on to the sprouts!
Smaller Mason jar is mung beans, large is alfalfa.
