Hi I already have 4 children from before I was diagnosed type 1all were straight forward deliverys.
I realise birth will be different due to diabetes but I dread the thought of laying in bed unable to move for hours as I've always had active labours with the others .
Does anyone have any positive stories of birth with diabetes .
Hi, congrats.
I'm awaiting induction date for my 8th baby... they will be active, they can attach a lead to baby's head once waters have broken which allows you to walk around and as baby's head comes down you know it by how much of the lead has lengthened lol.
It's come on a long way since my 1st induction 15yrs ago and have been having babies almost every other yr (yes I'm a regular and don't quite know why I do this to myself when I'm actually pregnant and feel like I'm falling apart).
I'm usually active and do it without pain relief. They will keep a close eye on your bgl during labour and afterwards and will also make sure baby's bgl are OK once they're born too (24hrs).
Wishing you all the best, if you need any extra help pm me and I will hopefully be able to give as much support as possible, I'm 35+5 weeks so may go quiet in a a couple of weeks time due to induction... FYI I love being induced
