What does the slimfast tast like with water, is it better or worse with milk?
To be Honest OK with both
The chocolate and coffee are a strong Taste hard to tell ,the others have not tried with Milk
the Caramel Temptation only had that with water the Once,
Very sweet think it would be even sweeter with milk urrrr

I was going to put that one in the Bin but Patch said i will get used to the sweet mix
I will leave it a week try it again the then

TOP TIP Ice cubes with the Mix let it stand for 5 mins

I am keeping to water for my Mixes as per study
I have most of my veg at night small carrot to nibble around 15:00

Trying to try and stick with the study menu

Dont know whats going on with me :!:
I must say I do feel really good on this ? i don't feel any huger or headaches
All seems far too easy I keep waiting for the CATCH ? Even the Cost for the slim-fast meals is OK
50p a meal beat that Asda

Dropping Metformin the week before not a problem
Now dropping the Glit slowly see what happens tomorrow if all OK i will drop a second 80mg
Getting used to drinking Black coffee also a few Herbal teas

Only thing I can think going Pear shape now is the weight loss with me being so Inactive,
imposable to exercise

I am off to Hospital Urology tomorrow for a check up
Need to hand a Urine sample in ,Cant wait to see if that comes back with anything or Not mrgreen:

Will pop into Newcastle after and grab some more flavors in Boots also try a ready made Slimfast shake for lunch , pick some more Veg up at the market

My Aim is to stick with it for the eight weeks ,,Then replace Mid Day Shake with a normal healthy meal around 300<>400Kcals Until i reach my Ideal tonnage

Bob - I've found that caffeine hits me HARD while I'm de-fatising. Had to cut it out COMPLETELY, else I can't sleep at night.

Are you getting plenty of water? I'm certain it's helping (me at least..)

I'm definitely drinking more (water, not alcohol :) ), which I am sure is good for me in general. It does help me feel a bit less hungry - at least that's what I am telling myself.

I don't drink a lot of alcohol anyway, but the idea of a pint (or two) of Theakstons at the end of this is pretty good :D

I'm so pleased that someone else is on the slimfast as I thought it was just me. :)

Been on it now 18 days and counting.I found that I could mix some of the ones
I don't like in with the ones I do.

I am trying the extreme version and only having lettuce, cucumber and tomato
twice a day and 3 shakes made with half water and half milk.

I feel great and thought I would be crawling up the wall with cravings, but no still going strong.

I am T2 and only test bg every other day this seems to have steadied to 5.8 each time.

I have lost an amazing 14 lbs. Just got an exercise bike so we will see how that goes but I am not a great one for the old exercise.......probably my downfall !!!

I'm not so fortunate I am in france and have to get people to bring it over.
I started my plan before I joined this site and did not have any further info than the original
report in the press about the 600 calorie study. But I was so bowled over by the prospect of
kicking the diabetes I thought I would have a go. I don't know if I have messed it up but will
be using water tomorrow. Thanks for the link to the info at least it is a good starting platform
for me.The French stuff is dire and I am only mixing it in because I need to pad out my supply
till next week, when I get my next fix haha.

Well you are 15 days in front of me, seems to be working well for you and Patch his BG also amazing
Its taken me this long to get all my ducks lined up ready to start
Only day three, I am amazed how easy it is SO FAR ?

If someone had told me I could drop 90% of my meds by day 3 and still have near normal BG levels
told them to stop sniffing the fairy dust
Its totally amazed me ,Still thinking I will find a high BG next morning,, early days so far
Find out more on Monday morning at Docs will find out if i have lost anything or not
He is also doing mini medical on me

Keep us all tuned in how your doing

Well done!! I know what you mean about the vanilla that's the one I mix in with strawberry or banana.
Just think Bob only the weekend to go and that's week 1 over and done with. I can assure you the great feeling stays with you....... I know you just think the bubble will burst.... well day 19 and not yet. I have changed over to the water in the shake this morning and it's OK. Only difference is texture is thinner but no less flavour.
Can't wait to see your results with the doc Bob!!!

Well Bob hope all goes well for you with the meds this weekend......

I think I have made a bit of a boob this week with the veg..............just realised that
250gms is not all that much!!!!
I will have to go back to just lettuce, cucumber and tomato this seems to suit me better.
A plate full dun't weigh that much haha.
I have been adding greenbeans and some spinach as an alternative warm meal that's no good.
Bg 5.7 this morning so that's ok.

Your doing really well Bob, i am looking fwd to your weigh in, which is probably a bit strange, because i don't know you, but i am impressed you are almost off the drugs. My diabtetic consultant told me Glicazide makes you gain weight, so i bet you really see a difference next week as well.
I have been on the drugs from day one as well so i know what it's like, you really are inspiring me with the matter of fact way that you are handling this. week one almost down. Yea!!!
