How do you low carb T2 folk get on with plums?

I usually stick to berries, but couldn't resist buying bargainous plums yesterday.

I tested a solitary plum today and the verdict is just in. Not guilty!

2pm - 5.8
3pm - 5.9
4pm - 5.0

Surprised and delighted, but I'll not go mad with them and will keep an eye on them in case it was a fluke.

Thank goodness as I ate 10!
Think I shouldn’t have as very thirsty now and can’t think what else caused that. Very silly me but they were gorgeous.

It's an ancient thread, but:

I like plums so I'll buy them occasionally when in season. They're not all that high carb, so I simply limit the number I eat at one time to keep the carbs down.

I buy them occasionally. Eat one, save one, quickly give the rest away to remove temptation..

I love them but more than three a day gives me a problem the next day but not with BG ( how to put this politely, I have to stay near to the ensuite!):)

Wouldn’t most children be type 1? And as such have a different experience of controlling their BG then diet alone?

They do not suggest very kow carb in both types.
And never ketogenic diet.

We are obsessed with low carb more than neccessary.

I miss understood what you intending by posting what the doctor mentioned.
There was no mention of children or restricting fruit for children on this thread.

Which is your opinion - if you use insulin then you obviously have the option to eat however many carbs your prefer - however as many T2s need to use low carbohydrate diets to control their glucose levels fruit can often be a big issue.
So watching carbohydrate consumption is definitely not an obsession, instead it's often a (rather vital) necessity, hence this discussion.

Many hundreds of deliciously sweet Victorias on our tree this year.
Neighbours enjoying and wasps are drunk on the ground below.
I limit to no more than two a day.
