Cold medication

Hi I have a head cold & muffled ear. Asked the in store pharmacist? If Sudafed extra strength would help. On reading the leaflet when I got home , it said no for diabetics, I am type 2 diet controlled & no for high blood pressure which I have but is well under control with medication.
Apart from going back to pharmacist any thoughts?

Cup of hot water/tea with a squeeze of fresh lemon and a couple of paracetamol should help until you get further advice about the Sudafed.

When I used to get a cold a hot lemon drink with a goodly splash of single malt whisky in it did the trick.

I never bought over the counter cold relief stuff...

I’m surprised they sold you Sudafed if you are on BP pills - I am on BP pills and according to my local pharmacist the only thing that I can take for a cold is paracetamol.
