Hello, new here.

Boyfriend is over 40 and has type 1 diabetes since a child. We're hoping to have children (i'm in my 30s). So far we have not been successful (trying for over 6 months). Will his diabetes reduce our chances? There doesn't seem to be a problem from what we can see. I read on this site it can lead to reduced sperm quality. Is there anything we can do to increase our chances?

I have been type 1 for 48 years. I have 2 boys aged 30 and 26 so I have no problems.
Fingers crossed you will catch soon :)

Hi - Can't say I've heard this, although it took quite sometime for my wife and I to be successful and we went through a lot of medical intervention however I wasn't the main cause of our hardship and we ended up conceiving naturally anyway - I think stressing about it does have an impact.
