I read this Roald Dahl poem to my daughter occasionally. Reading it last night it reminded me of some of the posts and concerns about carb addiction etc. Hopefully it might give some fun to those who find it hard to avoid snacking on carbs. The poem kicks off with:
One afternoon I said to mummy,
“Who is this person in my tummy?...
And then goes on to say:
There is a person in my tummy!
“He talks to me at night in bed,
“He’s always asking to be fed,
“Throughout the day, he screams at me,
“Demanding sugar buns for tea.
“He tells me it is not a sin
“To go and raid the biscuit tin.
