Winner for fbs and funny for the Christmas decorations. Husband has got out of putting up the Christmas lights outside because he says that the problem with his hand means that he cannot do it. Perhaps you could use a similar strategy.

Thanks for the idea, but Mrs J knows my every move and some I don't know myself!

Thank you. I will ask my doctor. :)
How do you do all the different quotes in one post? I have never been able to figure out how do more than one.

I wish, but no it's a Logitech G502 Hero

Ah the games up, yes I am that ;)

Does depend on the strength, the usual chemist one is worthless so best buy online.

You might want to read the link below first, it's not a simple process to add CBD to existing antidepressants. Suggest having a word with your doctor first.

I highlight the piece of text I need, like above, and it gives the option to reply, click that. Go to your reply box and just tap 'enter' twice at the end of the posted line. Leave it 'as is' and go to the next line you want to reply to and do the same thing. Repeat for however many replies you want.

You should end up with copied text separated by spaces, now just put your reply in the spaces and when finished hit 'post reply'

Good evening All. Not long back from four day trip to visit eldest son and my little brother in the Emerald Isle. Busy schedule, lots of fun, lots of good food, lots of strong tea and even stronger drinks ;).
Hope everyone is safe well or getting better. Normal service will resume tomorrow.

There can be up to.a 15 min delay. Are you enjoying your CGM? Any surprises?

Not really any surprises, it seems to run about 1mmol below blood, but I think hydration seems to affect Libre much more than blood test. I’m getting a flattish line with Libre between 4 and 5 but a lot more variation with finger pricks and a much bigger range. Not what I was expecting at all!

Just finished my Christmas shopping! One site, good sale, free shipping, click, click, done. I used to love doing my Christmas shopping in the actual stores, among the crowds, with the Salvation Army bellringers and musicians, but there is a lot to be said for doing it at home, on the sofa, with cat in lap. ^. .^

More terrified FB posts saying that if America gets "socialized" medicine we will turn into Venezuela. Why Venezuela, I have no idea.

Could this throw some light on it @SaskiaKC
CARACAS, Venezuela (AP) — The Trump administration has slapped sanctions on Venezuelan socialist party boss Diosdado Cabello, accusing him of drug trafficking and heading a major corruption network that siphoned off funds from state-run companies to accounts in Russia and other countries.

How did the choir singers perform? We are performing Christmas Carols and songs in a wonderful National Trust Property next Saturday, it's an all day event 2 x 15 minute slots per hour in different rooms around the castle. Then later in the month Recorder quartet performances also in National Trust properties, getting very Christmassy. Admire you got shopping sorted, other than Mrs MC's present and my sons which I painted, a watercolour of a sunset viewed from his front garden, I have done non, time to panic!

The concert is better forgotten. Half the poor soloists couldn't even carry a tune. I think it's pitiful when adults make kids perform in public when they have no ability. The ones who read the lessons were mostly drowned out by the pianist playing a sort of vamp leading up to their carol following their lesson. But I had a very nice surprise afterwards. One of the grandmothers who came with them and I got to talking; turned out she is the daughter of a couple who were good friends with my parents, all in the same Sunday School class. It was wonderful to see her after so many years, and she stayed quite awhile and we had a lovely visit. It made today really feel like the start of the Christmas season.

P.S. @Muddy Cyclist Yes, that quote you posted sounds like what accompanied the FB post. I don't know why it is that some Americans quote the absolutely worst stories they can find for their arguments against government-provided healthcare paid for by taxes. They throw in the word "socialism" like a malediction.

Good morning gentle folk of this thread. Fbg for me today was 5.6 which on its own doesn't look good. Whilst I don't find it pleasing we can make an uneasy truce. Yesterday we ate later, had hot food with red meat and some "store bought" onion gravy (we can't make anything I like nearly as much). I liked it and will have to accept the results if I wish to eat hot food in winter. Resting heart rate up slightly, weight about a pound up and fbg slightly up on average - could all be salt related. The gravy would have been more salty than anything homemade and there is salt in cheese (had celeriac dauphinoise) plus I had a window from each of my advent calendars - Ilchester cheese one and snaffling pig. I will be interested in what I find tomorrow after a more normal 1 salad OMAD. Enjoy your day. @SaskiaKC and anyone else. today I offer you Ps 54 v 4 .

Good morning with a 5.5 for me on this frost covered start to the day.

Today is my HbA1c test result review with the health centres resident Pharmasist at 9.20 am that means I'm going to have to defrost my campervan windscreen although I could risk cycling there but it looks very slippery out side.

Same here @SaskiaKC what is very worrying is that we don't know how many members of the public are taken in by such headlines. As you know the UK is facing electing a new government on 12 December and all parties are promising the Earth which cannot be afforded, throwing mud at each other and one party even had its members chanting slogans which is very Unbritish like, strange and worrying times.

We have an Advent calendar that's got all the characters behind doors that you open and then add the characters on to the manger scene on top, had it years, this year we allowed our granddaughters to put the characters behind the doors, today Baby Jesus appeared, I think a bit early perhaps,I think I am going to have to go through the Nativity Story with them on their next visit :)

Do the best you can today.

Best wishes for the camper van de-icing and the review. Very interesting how doctors practices/ groups organise themselves. The one we currently use now covers 3 previous practices spread over about 10 miles including part of a reasonable sized market town but no pharmacist. Is this common in other parts of the UK?

5.1 this morning. Although I love fbs in the 4s - probably because it is so unusual for m me - low 5s are absolutely OK. Hopefully they will continue. Just off to dig out the the thermals before the doggie walk.

Morning all, hope some good weekends were had - I’ll read back in a sec and find out.
Today I had a faintly ridiculous 3.8 on CGM and 4.7 by finger prick. I’m finding the disparity is less when I keep hydrated ( I never drink enough water) but not sure how useful the CGM is proving really.
I’m watching a glorious sunrise from my bedroom window and deer grazing in the field behind the house. What a lovely start to the day.
Good luck with Christmas shopping all, I really must do some. @SaskiaKC I might be joining you on the clicking. We have a family challenge to watch 1 Christmas film a day for December. Yesterday was Arthur Christmas with granddaughters. Not sure what today’s will be.

6.2 this morning, maybe eating peanuts late at night isn't a smart move.

Looks frozen outside and I have to go out in an hour or so, I think it's time to unpack the Doc Martens from their summer retreat. I'm not very stable when upright as it is, less so when skating, apparently I can trip on a shadow ;)

Morning all from a damp, coldish North I hope you all had a good weekend full of frivolity. I have not been too well, holding Man Flu at bay still, but feel that if I let my guard down it will pounce, like coiled piece of string! A uninspiring 8.2 greeted me after a short tussle with the meter of Doom, I feel that it is toying with me, much like a cat toy's with a mouse whilst it's on catnip! A few days of teaching this week so I may or may not get on. Hugs for those that need it and a big group hug for everyone else, just because.

Take care everyone.

We don't have a resident pharmacist at our health centre either. It was purpose built a few years ago, so I don't know why it couldn't have been incorporated.
