Hello friends,
Horrible day, I swear guests that go to restaurants to eat like to watch waitresses and waiters suffer and struggle. If I had stretchy arms and legs I wouldn’t struggle as much but they like to watch me struggle and not help pass the plate to their nearby friend. But I’ve been hypoing all day, Christmas jumper and 28° air con is not helping but manager likes to keep it on at that temperature because of the high ceiling. As winter is settling in, I’m struggling more with mood, anyone would like to take me to Australia for six months? Ya girl needs sun asap.

Just got home from a fairly dull shift, lots of just sitting outside A&E waiting to hand patients over. They basically use ambulances as fully staffed cubicles. I did pick up some Beyond Meat burgers on the way home, so that’s brunch (? Some food at around 3pm after I get up and before my shift starts at 1900) sorted for the next two days. Eating my little Green & Black bar of advent chocklit and having a glass of wine while I catch up here

As for not knowing if I’ve gained weight, I bought two pairs of jeans during Black Friday sales. I took a gamble and bought it in my usual size and leg width and turns out I fit nicely into them.
I have a deep dark feeling that my manager is slowly replacing front of house. She fired 3 people who she felt is not up for the job and because she was over the budget. But now she’s interviewed three new people and they are starting this weekend so I don’t quite understand the whole business over the budget tactic idea thingy. I don’t know how long before she fires me. So I’m in the process of looking for a new job to cover my back.

Good morning and wishing you all a happy Wednesday
Back to work this morning and eye feels the same, so I will just get on with the day, but daughter had to run to the bathroom twice vomiting this morning, vomiting, two of the Nursery staff are off with the sickness bug, so looks like daughter has it too

Amazingly nice and level and running between 4 and 5 all last night - and in range since 6pm yesterday, just 9hrs to go to do a full 24................... the only way I could possibly do that is probably go back to bed but work kind of frown on that sort of thing

Finally back to work today after a few days off with poorly daughter, she didn't look that happy going back in today but as they get their Christmas lunch today then she was more inclined to go back.. Been fighting high bg levels but nothing has materialised yet.. hoping I can fight it off with curry and wine tonight !!

Good afternoon.
Letter came yesterday about my eye screening! Apparently there are some changes to my good eye that may be caused by diabetes! They are getting me an appointment to see an eye specialist at the hospital. Little worrying BUT my eyesight hasn't changed and hoping its just cautionary.

Morning all, just got up after a fairly uneventful shift last night. Just sitting with patients outside A&E, we only went to one call all night. Been practicing for my next set of practical exams “assisting the paramedic” with my mentor, so now I’ve got an intubation kit at home where I can practice on a pint glass. Lots of this is muscle memory, like field stripping your AK47 with your eyes closed Diabetes behaving for now, didn’t need to take a single correction all shift!

I couldnt do that with my eyes open But muscle memory I know for when I used to fly/crash radio controlled helicopters

Morning all, yesterday I failed the 24hr in target challenge - I peaked after lunch just above range and then again after tea/dinner/supper time, but only just. Today I start again.......................and so far winning!

Hi Karen, when I started pumping I was told to treat a hypo just with just my fast acting carbs ie jelly babies and not to take a longer acting carb (biscuits) BUT still do test 15 mins after your 15g of carb.

i treated with jelly babies but kept dropping so did eat a couple of biscuits i awoke at 4.8 at 7am but an hour later i had risen to 9.8 which i done a correction for.it was great not having to inject but also a bit strange ,i have another appointment tomorrow to do a pod change so will write down some questions as i have forgotten half of what was said

Hi and good afternoon everyone, it's been a busy few days.
Off to my eye appointment when I finish the school run, driver is kindly dropping me off at the hospital.
Whatever the problem is, or not, I hope I can some answers today and any needed treatment.
Hope you are all having a good day ( it would be dark, dismal and wet on election day)
