We never did thicken gravy because my dad hated it. So for me it was just always butter, the juices from the meat, water, and sometimes a bunch of chopped up mushrooms added to that.... Could add some chopped bacon too?
I must admit, it's one of the few carby things I've held onto. Bisto powder (not granules) and meat juice gravy. A couple of dessert spoons in a pint of gravy
Bisto gravy granules are approx 60g of carbs /100g (of which sugars is 12g) - the directions say to use 20g for 1/2 pint of gravy - so 12g of carbs in total, depending on how much you have there of..........is up to you.
