Hello

I had my shake this morning, 15g.
Not super hypo, 2 tabs to stop a 4.0 reading from dropping. Now I’m making cheesy pasta with garlic and herbs. Oo it was tasty bowl of pasta, 120-130g carbs, :)
Dinner plan is probably something light, veggie soup with eggs.

Afternoon :)

Breakfast - 60g carbs Crunch Nut Cornflakes
Dinner - 152g carbs - 3 slices bread with beef (sandwich), packet monster munch, white chocolate twix, apple, nectarine and marmite cheese

@KK123 . That’s great news you having a libre. It is very difficult to stop scanning when you first get connected.
Not used Libre myself but use Dexcom. First days and weeks just was so amazed at the information is gave.
Today.
Granola and yogurt.
One banana ( have cut bolus by one unit )
Tuna and chutney on brown sandwich.
Dinner was a first. Butternut squash with carrot all mashed up and haddock. Blooming delicious :).
@porl69 . Love the exactness of your lunch carb count.;)

@Fairygodmother . Ginger nuts before bed. Been there done that. Glass of milk and a ( few ) ginger nuts. Heaven.

Ham whole meal bun with red pepper, cucumber, toms and celery.
Morrison’s curry (grandson day, pooped!) with cauliflower rice
Jelly and single cream.
Interesting how repetitive some of my postings are beginning to look.

Ham salad sandwich ,jelly blueberries and double cream for lunch .

Yep I’ve noticed a trend with my eating habits, especially on work days.
I think the important thing though is the fact that we can eat what we do day in day out.
Hopefully the thread may help people who may feel guilty about talking about carbs or even offer hope to newbies who think life has to change completely.
Did say that we’re not here to pass judgment......but.......celery:***:

Bigotry, reliance on unsupported 'facts', unkindness, unfairness.
Supper tonight was black-eyed bean, sweet potato, spinach and light coconut milk curry with rice, made with a helpful carb counting Schwartz mix. It was left over from the selection I took to the East Midlands to fill up hungry grandsons. Delicious, 60g carbs, easy too after a long walk.

Didn’t quite get the butternut squash and carrot carb count right. Been falling gradually since returning from an earlier walk.
A nice chunk of seeded malt loaf will hopefully do the trick. The thought of a few biscuits and milk is also sounding appealing.
Don’t you just hate being diabetic sometimes?:):)

Nothing since 6pm yesterday

No breakfast just coffee

Lunch large piece of cod carrots cabbage and peas coffee

Dinner. 100g of spiralised Butternut squash. ? 12 carbs
With mince beef tomatoes etc into a spaghetti bog.
Trying not to eat until lunch tomorrow.
But I’m always Starving. Why?

Celery with a dusting of sugar is soooooooo nice :)

@therower just seen your celery comment. My 2 year old grandson must have though just the same yesterday when I gave him a chunk (he eats red pepper, cucumber and coleslaw with gusto) however the celery was one stage too far. His facial expressions as his chewing progressed were a sight to behold. Hubby and myself couldn’t speak for laughing. I eventually put a plate under his chin and he spat it out. Priceless!

Usual breakfast and work food.
Dinner has been.
Morrisons Steak and Dumpling pie. They only sell them this time of year but they are just delicious.
Not sure what it is about them but it’s a weekly treat along with carrots and broccoli.
Protein shake as well. Carbs????? Around the 70 mark I guess/ hope:)

Left over chinese this morning - nooodles, rice, sweet and sour sauce and a bit of salt and pepper chicken. 70g carbs as a rough estimations

And a shake this evening 15g :)

Pub steak sandwich on brown bloomer (it was disappointing)
Home for jelly and cream and an orange
Two poached eggs on seeded brown toast with a sherry. Random I know!

I added another bit of noodles 30g, grapes 30g and banana 20g to my extremely late meal. But I really wanted grapes and bananas so my appetite is satisfied :)

Theres marmite peanut butter, I don’t like marmite but marmite peanut butter was something else
