Not really knowing what's going on inside my Endocrine system!!!
What is a good thing to eat post exercise? I'm T2.

I tend to exercise after work so not home until 8-8.30pm - I tried wholemeal carb and protein but it seemed to result in high evening readings even if I had a small amount.

I now stick to some chicken/cottagecheese/coldmeat/cheese/egg/ with a little lettuce - maybe a little hummous.

Seems to have stopped the high readings and poor sleep. Any other suggestions?

I usually have a protein shake - if you choose carefully there are lots from 2g to 4g of carbohydrate.

Thanks borofergie.

I have often wondered if a protein shake is something I should take after exercise.

I bought mixer/shaker bottle a while ago so I will get some sort of a light protein powder for women.
