Hi!
I have been wearing the omnipod for about two years now and a year ago I started to experience itching while wearing it on my arms, I tried the cavilon spray that works for a day but after that its just hell, I have now recently tried the skin tac wipes but it’s still irritating and itching my skin does anyone else have this problem ? It’s now becoming where I am itching my skin that much it’s bleeding and becoming dry and flaky, I always have worn my pump on my arms ( I prefer it there ) but is their any other place I could put it where it’s comfortable as I tried having it on my thighs but the needle kept on coming out, if anyone has any recommendations please get in touch!! It’s a nightmare.
Thank you.

Yep! I've only been podding a few months, but the last 5-6 pods have been really itchy and I've been left with quite a nasty rash where the pod was. It's odd, because normally I'm not the kind to react to that kind of thing - my skin isn't particularly sensitive or anything like that.

While I haven't found a solution to stop the itching in the first place, I've found Sudocrem really helps to soothe it afterwards.

Hi, I have been having terrible problems with itching and dry skin too. I tried Cavilon Spray and also some wipes suggested by a diabetic nurse at the GP, I also rang Omnipod who refused to advise me. I rang my specialist nurse at the hospital and she suggested, wait for it, Beconase Nasal Spray!!!! Spray it on let it dry and then place pod, it is not perfect but almost!!! I know it sounds crazy but it really is much better and if it works you should be able to get it on prescription. Hope it works for you too!!!
