Evenin’ All,

B: bacon and egg
L: ham rollups
D: chicken wings tossed in HOT mango and lime chutney (v small amount of chutney due to the unbelievable hotness!)

we also batch cooked 4 lo dough pizzas. Mr B ate 1. The other 3 are now cooling for his breakfasts.
He is (oddly) a little doubtful about cold pizza for breakfast. Strange man.
I have told him that if he doesn’t like them, then I will eat them instead.

I can eat cold pizza every day unless it has beef in it. Ham and bacon and vegetables are nice cold .

Forgot to say that the dentist said I shouldn’t be eating crackling
emoji50.png
Apparently he used to see a lot of crackling related dental problems but hardly any these days. Sort of adds insult to injury

The Awfully Posh stuff isn’t teeth endangering.

Thanks, I can’t find any round here but I’m off to Asda today to look for the pickles @maglil55 told us about - maybe they’ll have some.
I think the crackling which has been giving my teeth grief is my home crackled rind off bellypork joints. Will be having that later this week so I’ll have to be strong.

Thanks . Yes it is my third or forth time . Once was pure agony but now I drink too much water so it passes when it is still small .

Thank goodness you’re drinking a lot of water nowadays then. Hope you feel better soon.

Bed 5.7 FBG 5.6. @ianpspurs - hope Julie recovers very soon but well done on grandson duties. It's a lot of running around with the younger ones as I well know. @shelley262 - I saw the Severn warnings were back and thought about you straight away. I do hope it has peaked and is falling again. @mouseee - our half term ended last week so I had the same dread getting up last Tuesday AND it was a really awful morning. Never mind though - 5 weeks to Easter? @Tipetoo - there's quite a few recent reviews on imgur saying photos are not uploading on the recent version. I'll wait and see how it develops.
Yesterday - Monday. Didn't get into Aqua. Usual school run then back to continue the clothes sort. It was yet another OMAD day. Hubby was of colour so I had to revise his food later on.
B. Just TAG
L. Nothing
D. Back to the DD buffalo chicken with buttered cabbage. I have loads of it with Hubby passing on it but no doubt he'll eat it on Tuesday.
I have to say I really enjoyed it. Just a nice amount of heat.

Had a banana for breakfast about 11 this morning.

Nothing but tea since then - busy making cupcakes for a children's party at the weekend. The children enjoy decorating cupcakes, so I bake the cakes and take along lots of icing and piping equipment. The finished cakes get donated to the local fire station, police or somesuch. I think it might be the ambulance service and coastguards this time. Then Em arrived from school to pick up the mango I'd been drying for her so now I'll think about a meal for today.

I think I'll make it a tomato/bell pepper mixture with a couple of eggs poached in it.

Decided I'd better get myself organised and start planning meals for a week from tomorrow onwards (tomorrow is going to be shopping day) - I usually just see what I can get in the shops and make it up as I go along, which sometimes means that I am left with stuff to use up somehow and that means sometimes sending it down for Em's dogs. Planning might fall at the first hurdle, when I find I can't get the ingredients I want, though. Must remember to get toppings for the cupcakes.

2 failures due to over optimism today. Thought I could make an OMAD today but cold, hungry and tired by 3.00 so 2 pieces of cheese <50 gms the pair. Evening was beef - trying to empty the freezer then fill from local farms - with buttered kale and spring greens. Hoped the sous vide function in the new oven might make the beef edible - but it didn't. Think the meat was topside (or brisket? ) neither of us could eat it. I opened a tin of corned beef and ate 2/3. Meals like that really don't help my issues with meat. Up to 18 months or so ago I really enjoyed meat

Evening all. Opposite to @ianpspurs not very hungry at all today (unusual for me).

Ate my packed lunch of smoked salmon and whipped creamy cheese around 1.30pm and felt much fuller than usual. Ended up walking past Montezuma’s (having already entered and exited Hotel Chocolat about 20 yards away without buying anything) and bought 2 individual dark chocolates. Hit the spot and having walked away again, no chance of over indulging.

Arrived home not particularly hungry so am drinking tea with cream and going for an impromptu OMAD.

Yesterday 26/02/2020
Big day yesterday. Struggling with everything diabetes specialist (both endo and cardiologist) said my HbA1c had come back down to 26, or 4.5 in old money. Heck I have eaten more fruit then I ever have done in the past two months, porridge for breakfast, white corn tortillas, red meat in the last month. Apparently if I loose more weight I risk kidney damage, my liver enzymes are raised still but that's probably to do with my health state. I am now anemic and apparently am not supposed to lose anymore weight. Easier said then done. OCD, anxiety, depression and other chronic health conditions suck.

Breakfast: travelling. At home 3 white coffee with unsweetened coconut milk blend. Then 2 black coffee, 50g rolled oats, 68g blueberries, 30g sunflower, pepita mix.

Snack: sugar free gum

Lunch: 24g massdam cheese, 132g champagne ham, 2 white corn tortilla, mustard, 30g raw carrot, 122g tomato, 122g cucumber.

Dinner: 195g boiled broccoli, 4 large eggs, 2 slices shortcut bacon, 20ml salsa

2 beef based DD meals today. Black coffee and TWAM to drink. Lunch. https://www.dietdoctor.com/recipes/keto-roast-beef-cheddar-plate was a very big meal. Roast beef is from the local butcher and always good.
Dinner: https://www.dietdoctor.com/recipes/keto-italian-meatballs conversely this seemed like a small portion, I probably should have done pasta for the others. I’m not overly keen on tomato based sauces - too long spent on Weight Watchers in my younger days when everything was made with tinned tomatoes. It was ok though and the others liked it.
&Shelley262 thinking of you still with all this rain

After all your urging I decided to force my friend with the airfryer to make me chicken wings this afternoon. You were right, they were wonderful!

And it turned out I didn't need to use force, I simply bought her an early birthday present (she'll turn 31 next august :p) at the thrift store. At the moment she has to do all her shopping, GP visits etc. on foot, as she can't leave the baby home so we found this wonderful trailer for her bike for only 40 euros! It has straps for the maxi cosy and seat belts for 2 kids for when her daughter gets older. They're quite popular with parents in the Netherlands.
Her daughter was having a much needed sleep so her dogs were the stand-ins for the test drive :)

@Antje77 air fried chicken wings are fab aren’t they - yours look great. Those dogs in the trailer look really happy about it, such a good idea.
@Goonergal no luck with finding Awfully Posh crackling today, not Asda nor Tesco so I’ve ordered some from Amazon ( won’t mention it to my dentist!) I did find the dill pickles in unsweetened vinegar at Asda though, thanks @maglil55

You'll notice a big difference in taste compared to the sweet pickle. DIL prefers them too so I usually end up getting jars of them! Ignore the bit about use by 5 days after opening. I've kept them in the fridge for weeks!

The white one jumped out during the test drive. On the front! But he emerged on the backside of the trailer none the worse for wear so I guess it's a good thing the trailer is to be used for the baby (and the lazy black dog) and the white one can just trot along :hilarious:
