Exactly a year ago I was admitted to hospital with a virus my Blood Sugar levels were so high I was immediately administered insulin to quickly reduce my highly elevated level (Over 30).

That changed my whole life... overnight!

Yes, but for me personally I notice more of a difference when I have bacterial based infection rather than a virus. When I had glandular fever (a virus) I was actually having pretty good blood sugars but when I had a UTI I was all over the place.

Yes definitely.
Just before I started insulin in October I had the flu for the first time.
My bloods rarely dropped below 20 for a week. I wished I had insulin to reduce them
