Hi
Like others I wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone for your help. After being diagnosed with an Hba1c of 85 in December, yesterday I heard that my Hba1c is now 45. This is after 3 months of following a fairly low carb diet. For me that meant about 80 carbs a day on average which was manageable. I combined this with swimming up to a mile 4 times a week, although at the moment this has been replaced with a 55 mins aerobic video.
I know going low carb is quite hard to adjust to and I knew I would not succeed doing a Keto diet, so I just hoped that 80 a day would do the trick. And it has. I know I still need to go lower but this is a really significant drop for me and I am now classified as well managed diabetes by my doctor.
If I can do it , anyone can.
In the meanwhile, keep smiling and keep safe.
