What do you do during isolation?

Sadly I'm one of the ones who isn't going out apart from the one day per month that I have to walk the two mile round trip for my prescriptions. I've avoided all people and all shops for five weeks, and my only fresh air is in my back garden for perhaps ah hour's weeding or grass cutting some days. I have putv on weight of course too!

I take my dog for his daily outing, but no shops or contact with society at the moment. That seems about to change as restrictions are slowly being lifted here. And the hinges on the fridge door have been getting a workout here. The TV has never been running more then it has since the lock down... odd jobs around and in the house are getting done, mostly positive stuff.

Omg I can relate to this so so much!
None of my friends actually understand because they all have children and/or a significant other. It's a completely different kettle of fish when you have literally nothing to get out of bed for.
I find it hard not to resent them. Especially when they're moaning about their children as I can't conceive and they don't realise how lucky they are.
Sounds like you’re in a similar position to me! ****** **** isn’t it!!!

With so much filming under threat, maybe a year without the new series of "Days of our lives" and "The young and the restless".

Whatever will I do?

Big day yesterday for excitement and social intercourse.

We had our online grocery delivery yesterday, so we had a chat with the driver for five minutes about the amount of hours he has been working.

A friend of ours from the bowls club brought the copies of the lotto syndicate tickets in the draws this week. Some club news was exchanged about "Dad's Army" doing some renovation work inside the club.

The most excitement we had was when the Life Flight rescue chopper flew over the units, coming in to land at the base hospital two blocks over from us.

The person who cuts our hair at home phoned yesterday and said she is getting her appointment book going again.

She has us booked in for the May 18 at 14:30 and would it be suitable, my usual #1 clipper cut has grown out to a mop top since the lockdown here started.

I had long hair for years?
Then a couple of years back, I "sold out" & went "corporate." Became a "smart young man."
I got a hair cut just before this all kicked off in the UK?
I normally, rock up to a to a stylist after work during the taile end of "dad & lad" hour on a Friday & say "cut it so it don't look like its's been cut.." :)

In Queensland in Australia I am working as a teacher so children of essential workers and vulnerable children can attend school. If I was in isolation I would be a NETFLIX addict and binge watch TV shows I never get a chance to view. I would also do a spring clean.

Our excitement for the day was the contractors turning up out of the blue to take down the scaffolding that's been at the back of the house since the day before the lock down started.

That’s as exciting as it gets since there are no new Young and Restless or Judge Judy episodes

Ha! We had the bin men round, emptying the rubbish.

That is a whole schedule of events. Very exciting.
- collecting the stuff from different rooms
- trip out the front door to put it in the bin (escorted by dog pack)
- drag bin out of gate onto kerb (leaving disappointed dogs behind)
- a night of feverish anticip....ation
- the bin lorry, men, banging and crashing, excited dogs, followed by
- yet another trip out through the gate to collect the bin (more doggie supervision)

Thrilling stuff! Especially on a week when the bin men have mischievously challenged us by leaving ours in front of 82, and 82’s in front of 81. Those scamps.

Highpoint of the week, I tell you.

People who think they know everything.
We're having a Beatles marathon today - all albums from Please Please Me (1963) through to Let It Be (1970).
