Good morning everyone, it's another beautiful, sunny morning and I plan to spend at least some of it relaxing with a book and a glass of wine.
Have a good day, be safe and well.
Grand idea, enjoy!

. @dunelm, easing is nothing to do with science and all to do with politics - Cummings. How very condescending/cynical of the elite to announce the opening of a few shops, green light barbeques (for which read booze) and sport to distract us from death, poverty and abject failure of governance. Random harvesting (unplanned? ethnic and social cleansing) seems to be the new policy/ unexpected outcome. Toodle pip.

We can bring grain to feed the masses or lions for the arenas. Lions of course.

For now, I am the very model of effective social distancing.

Thank you @Muddy Cyclist. I am a fan of Jeeves and Wooster , especially Fry and Laurie portrayal, and all the P G Woodehouse I have read. . By the way, forgot to say if you have children/grandchildren who are returning to school or are one of my ex-profession all my prayers are with you. Gove's reforms/curriculum are not worth the risk and are a very long way from education. Btw, Oxon Elite aren't at all the same as Cantab.
I much enjoyed the series also and the books. Rightly or wrongly the ones old enough to return to school are being held back by their parents until September. My daughter is back into school as from today, SIL still not heard from his school so what will eventually happen with my youngest grandaughter who starts school in September I am not sure, some talk of flexible work arrangements for her parents, we shall see. Worrying times but I'm certain all the grandchildren will be OK as they gets lots of input and support from their parents.

Thank you very much for that. A very good find. I liked Dominic Cummings - 500 Miles, I can see clearly now etc on youtube but have this little snippet

Good Afternoon Ladies and Gentlemen and those who live in cloud cuckoo land, ie those that think the risk is over, may your genes never enter the gene pool.

A 6.2 this morning. That meter is planning something, but I know not what.

My day started at 6:49am, when I sat at my keyboard for my plinky plonky practice and finished at 12:25 pm when I closed up my shed / workshop. This afternoon will be devoted to reading pure escapism, I did try reading serious books at one time, but I found the long words in Janet and John books beyond my abilities.

Well folks me and other personalities wish you all a pleasant afternoon, try not to get embroiled in the nasty bickering that is still going on over Brexit and some odd ball called Cummings. There is a lot more to this than the media are letting on. My source of information is the Beano and confirmed in the Dandy.
Stay safe.

My daily painting for today.
Sunrise with soft pastels.

Took about an hour and a half. Size was half an A4 sheet of thin grey mottled card.

Going back to bed for a nap.

Like the painting - very dramatic.
Nice video thank you for sharing this gem. We are going to Dorothy Clive Gardens on Wednesday Morining, booked and members only this week, there is a large quarry there full of rhododendrons might be lucky enough to catch some still flowering.
The Dorothy Clive Gardens look absolutely stunning. Hope you have a lovely visit on Wednesday and the rhododendrons are still flowering.

I am feeling better by tonight.
Checking temp, oximeter, blood sugar levels today, and everything is as normal as it should be.

Still a bit tired after last night.

And to be on safe side (for others in case I have something) I won't go out the next 7 days. I did that extra food shop on last Friday so I am okay with what I have in the cupboard.

But it was scary last night. Maybe it was another bug I had picked up. However, I always wear my N95 mask when I go out to shop, and the disposable gloves.

Apparently I am told Covid-19 cases are increasing round here, and I have a couple of separate friends who had been told to shield the last few months, and they have been handed their Get Out of Jail card as from today (I think), but they have no intention of leaving their houses for quite some time yet.

I am so pleased that you are feeling a lot better tonight. It is good that you got that extra food shop on Friday so that you can self isolate for 7 days.

Fbg 6.1

Temp 35.1

All other readings, oximeter, blood pressure all normal.

My joints still feel a bit achy, and stiff now from that strange episode the other night. Otherwise I feel fine. But to be safe, in case I have some bug of some sort, I am going to stay in the next 7 days.

I have enough food in, so that’s okay.

A couple of my my friends who were shielding tell me that Covid-19 is on the rise here, and no way are they leaving their houses yet. Possibly for quite some time.

One of them posts photos of the afternoon tea his wife makes for them every afternoon. And when I say afternoon tea, it is the full works with decorative flowery china teapot cups and saucers and plates and even matching tiered china plates for all the different cakes she does. There are different sandwiches cut into quarters. Strawberries and cream. Cream scones. And a beautiful embroidered tablecloth as well.

I can tell he has put on weight since lockdown began (a lot!), but he has a very happy smile on his face...

A beautiful sunny day here. Off outside to do my pastel. The air is crisp and fresh. The small birds are cleaning my roses of all the tiny bugs...

Good Morning and 5,9 for me today.

Another bright start to the day. Meeting SIL for a long Mountain Bike Ride this morning. Afternoon our Labrador is off to have his annual jabs, vet rang and can get him in at 2pm, not that he will be going to visit any Kennels this year.

Yesterday turned out to be a day of music, the Recorder Quintet managed to all meet in a camping field owned by a farmer friend, last minute surprise arrangement, pleanty of room for social distancing, three camper vans for convenience and refreshments only 5 people, sunny weather, miles from anywhere. We doubled social distance when playing the instruments with all the huffing and puffing. At one point some walkers came along the Bridleway running along the field, stopped for awhile and applauded. So all in all a successful afternoon. Consequently no painting yesterday, I did do a doodle whilst sitting in our garden earlier in the day but not good enough to share.

Take care.
