Hubby diagnosed 1999, no meds, diet controlled and done ok until now. Is not overweight. In Nov he had a triple bypass due to a long term heart condition that suddenly got worse. Since then his morning BG has started to creep up. He is asking if something could have changed because of the bypass? He isn't on any new meds.

Alot of people with poorly working circulatory system has their heart trying to work harder to compensate. It will take time to adjust. Everyone is different. How is his anxiety levels? Stress hormone can affect the liver which in turn adjusts insulin pathways. I recommend a nice relaxation technique and then see how things change. Everyone has some changes on rising to their glucose levels even none diabetics. Monitor monitor monitor and report back your findings to his specialist. If extremely high the then contact diabetes units emergency answering machine for a callback. Your both not alone. :)

He hasnt got a consultant only the local GP. I think maybe stress has something to do with this, he seems very ratty lately. Even rattier than usual :D it might be that. The highest reading he's had so far was 9.

When my bloods are high my temper becomes hard to control, it’s like I’m permanently wound up too tight. But I don’t know it until later when my bloods are lower. My dad was exactly the same.
Throw in stress of lockdown and it’s not surprising people are rattier than normal
