@SecurityMike you hv posted in the type2 section so if you are an insulin taking type2 I have had a period in the past when surviving felt so enormous to the small inconvience of taking my diabetic meds. Not realising how ill I was.
I was referred to my new area's specialist and his team was brilliant! He got me sorted out again.
What I take from the delayed care due to covid-19 is care but far far slower and watered down.
However you are still normally under someone's care (referring to NHS patients only).
Call your care team for support if you feel your life is in danger. No nhs staff member would expect you to do any less. You will be advised to do what they need to keep you safe and others, at this time. It's very straight forward, I assure you. In fact many consultantions are being done by telephone.
You have recognised you aren't well. What do you think is the most important thing? Yes monitoring your bloods. Injecting on the side of caution, better not enough than too much..... I feel. I've been injecting for over a decade (on and off) now and am too a type2.
Please let us know what you think is the best next step, if your unsure. BUT no one on the forum can give medical advice but can give you plenty of encouragement.
