Pecans and Brazil’s are much better.

Unless you are going to weigh out all servings I find it easier to compare by looking at the per 100g amount. 18% carbs is pretty high for me and I’d only have a tiny amount at that %. Most of my foods are under 5% and all under 10% unless its tiny and rare.

Yes I know. I’m not sure of your point.

This whole bag therefore contains 36g. This makes more sense to me than trying to guess how many nuts are in a 1/6 of the pack serving

I use 100g listing so I can compare one product to another equally. I don’t log all my food anymore as I know pretty much what works for me. I do however check labels Per 100g to compare which brands to buy, make sure recipes haven’t changed, get an idea of what a new product is likely to score etc. It’s a quick quide what to pick up and what to put back on the shelf. Precise weighing if desired can be done later at home.

Cashews are known to have higher carbs than most other nuts.
But they don’t impact my blood glucose levels in the slightest, so a few carbs (accompanied by all that nutty fat and fibre goodness) more or less seem irrelevant to my body.

so, as always, test and see how things work for your body.
You may be pleasantly surprised, and if not, well, it will be a tasty learning experience! :D

I suspect that they are not actually nuts, but something nut like - there are lower carb choices.

Stick this "are cashews nuts or legumes" and be confused.

Not really a nut, or a legume but explains higher carbs.

The term “new normal “
I’d eat a handful, 1/2 my carb allocation is for nuts and seeds ; )

Nuts are moreish! I try to keep away from them, but a tablespoon of peanut butter goes a long way and stop a craving.

One tablespoon (that's all I can face) of peanut butter apparently is:

fat-8.06g,
net carbs-2.13g,
protein-4g,
cals-94

it stops any craving and itches my teeth. In fact 3/4s of teaspoon does it for me.
