Has anyone here applied to take part in a vaccine trial such as the AstraZeneca/Oxford trial, and been accepted?

I wondered if they're still only concentrating on "healthy" subjects or whether they've extended it yet.

I've applied but not heard anything.

No, haven’t been approched. Would be very cautious if I was. Lots to consider. Age, health conditions, for a start. Also would look at previous vaccine studies, and try to make informed decision based on individual cirumstances.

Will this be done like the annual flu jab in that its a live vaccine given so you develop antibodies?

If that's the case I'm out. I cant afford to untowardly passing it to my young diabetic granddaughter. There still inst enough information of how long the virus lasts etc.

And I have my own health to think of plus my husband with heart problems.

Nah I'll wait thankyou
