Sorry not sure of putting this in correct place apologies if wrong
Got a question need advice
Feeling dizzy and weird, slightly dehydrated although I am drinking water
Bloods 7.4 over two hours after eating
Any ideas if it’s related to diabetes? What should I do to feel better- feeling sleepy and some abdominal cramping
Should I just sleep it off?

Hi Majii - It's difficult to tell from a fairly vague description. Do you have a diagnosis of diabetes already?

I was diagnosed with type 2
But now know I am actually type 3c diabetes caused by damage to pancreas

Majii, your symptoms could be diabetes related, or maybe not. It's just not possible to tell.

If your reading was a couple of hours after eating, I wonder if you had gone quite high and were maybe coming back down again. Thirst sometimes accompanies higher blood numbers.

To know, you really need to keep a close eye on your blood sugar numbers, and have a chat with our team.

Thanks for your responses, I appreciate you taking the time
I don’t have a diabetic team! Just Metformin from GP - I went to a diabetes education class and was told if bloods rising and loosing weight then diabetics out of control - When I asked what bloods rising and gaining weight meant the nurse said she didn’t understand this!
I was on medication that caused spikes and dips in sugar levels, stopped it in May but bloods kept rising.........
I only have head off pancreas and had lobe of liver removed along with radio ablation on three other segments
I expected my bloods to be high the way I felt -
I still don’t understand how a high or low blood episode feels I just feel shaky, dizzy and tired with both which is why I take a reading

Sounds like you've been though the mill, @Majii . It can take a while for things to settle down, and if your blood glucose is swinging around a lot, it can cause all manner of symptoms.

That you have lost a chunk of your pancreas means it could be likely you don't have the greatest insulin production, so take it steady. Please be in contact with your GP. If neither he nor the nurse have much experience of dealing with people living with T3c, then ask for specialist help.

Getting to the bottom of you symptoms and where necessary, tweaking your meds to help you feel better is important.
