Last night I had a blood glucose reading of 5.2 and I was very dizzy and shaky. I’m wondering if this is normal as I know if it’s 4 or under it’s a hypo, but is it normal to shake and feel dizzy at 5.2mmol?

Do you normally have good hypo awareness? Or have you been running high for a while? Could you have had something on your hands? Sometimes I feel hypo when I'm not, but BG meters do have a bit of a delay so you may have been hypo but the timing of your test says you weren't.

I go high and low constantly probably due to stress and my other illnesses so sometimes I can be really high and other times I can go extremely low. Last time I had a bad hypo I didn’t feel shaky until it got to 3.1

Hi,

Having hypo like symptoms at 5.2 can possibly be the "new normal" if you had been running high for a while & had become tolerant to it?
Though, it goes without saying prolonged high BGs won't do any favours.

It could be that your blood sugar was falling rapidly, causing you to feel hypo.
