Hi all. I have just been put on insulin and DVLA have gave me a 3 year medical review license. My C1 entitlement has been took off this..
I was due to start a new job in 2 weeks that I need my C1 entitlement to drive..
I have just received the D4 medical for to have this reinstated but on the form it says I need 3 months of glucose readings that show I've been on insulin. Now I've only been on it just over a week.. so question is has anyone been through this.. do DVLA insist on the 3 months readings. Probably likely to lose the job if I have to wait 3 months.
Many thanks lee

Hi, I needed to get my C1 reinstated a year ago for my current work. And I’m afraid they absolutely do insist on three months. You’ll need a whole new set of medicals, GP, consultant and DVLA’ s own expert to get it back - and they go through your meter with a fine tooth comb, requiring an explanation for any reading below 4 (worth keeping a diary with what led to one). Sorry it’s not better news.

Confirmed you MUST have 3 months.... and they must be completes months

Even days when you don't work/drive there has to be a minimum 2 test
