Dr. Sarah Hallberg - 'Eating Patterns and Metabolic Disease: What's New in 2019/2020?'

Great video. Many important yet overlooked studies showing the huge evidence for Low Carb way of eating.
On a personal note I'm not surprised that in one study the Very Low V=Carb group consumed more calories than the Medium carb group. As somebody doing LCHF but not particularly desiring to lose more weight (BMI = 22.4 so almost in the middle of the green zone), I'm consuming about the same or sometimes even more calories now than I did when I was eating (at least 5 a day with emphasis on Low Fat and whole grains. Despite this I have continued to lose weight - 4lbs in the last year following the initial - 22lbs in the first 4 months.

He covers a lot of ground, rather too fast in my opinion.
Also for me the train analogy doesn't work 100%, but his coverage of the GP or medical practitioner side of things is great.

I think I have seen something similar from Dr Aronica before.
Her research shows that the main difference between how well women or men do on Low Fat versus Low Carb is due to adherence.
Women are more afraid of dietary fat than men are, so ton average they don't comply so well to a low carb diet as to a low fat one. Thus women on average only lose around the same amount of weight on Low Carb than they do on Low Fat in contrast to men who lose more weight on Low Carb than on Low Fat.

It's depressing how little progress has been and and how very far we still have to go.

Even those who admit that Low Carb/Keto 'diets' are (safely) used for managing epilepsy in children somehow still claim that Low carb is dangerous for children and that where they do work for Blood Glucose control and weight loss, magically they only work for 6months to 1yr.
What about those children with epilepsy then who are on Low Crab/Keto 'diet' for many years?

Low Carb Denver 2020 - Q&A Day 1 Morning Session

Very interesting, starting with the 'dynamite' first question, but also interesting to hear that even CAC scores (though better than LDL Cholesterol) are not the perfect CVD risk assessment.
