You should test it on you. I have a 1/4 - 1/2 cup with a ribeye from time to time, no issues

Testing my reaction to foods when I was first diagnosed showed I react badly to corn so no longer eat it.

Do you have white corn in your country? White corn is the best for diabetes eaten boiled or grilled. Sweet yellow corn is not good for diabetes.

What is white corn, do you have another name for it?

The main difference between white and yellow corn is the colour other than that there is little difference apart from white corn tasting a little sweeter, the colour of yellow corn being caused by beta carotene, as beta carotene turns to Vitamin A when digested it can be considered slightly more healthy to eat but carb content is about the same.

Or masa harina which is the flour that is used to make tortillas etc. Polenta flour is also something similar, but whatever, they are all made from maize and are high carb.

Bear in mind corn is also fed to cattle and chickens to fatten them up before slaughter.... !
