Just an update.
I'm having my second C-peptide test as soon as its possible to book in. Last one was 761 but on more insulin than now. Still on a bit insulin but recent hba1c is 51.
Protein is needing insulin or I go high, even without Carbs.
Awaiting a MRCP for suspected gallbladder problem. Still on maximum strong painkillers. Hopefully just for now.
Hope everyone is well and not worried due to delayed NHS help.

Thanks @KK123. You're a great help. Do you think a C-peptide result of 761 is a bit high for a type1 diagnosis? Replacement endo specialist said it depends on how much insulin I'm injecting and my new result from Friday blood test.
I haven't tested for ketones for months but need a strip packet refilled first. Mine is £10 for 10 strips.
Feeling less dizzy on less metformin. Only a fraction of bg difference but spotty again and no cycle now. I really want metformin's magic back in my life. However its been horrendous IBS on it. So far less IBS with reduced Metformin. So far.
I'm a little scared of a possible type1 diagnosis but I think I shouldn't be. I added weight due to IR regardless. Obviously I'd prefer no insulin but only if it's safe to be treated that way. I'm on much lower units now and talk of changing me back to normal basal insulin rather than the triple doses. :) :) :)

@ickihun, if you are having issues with Metformin, in tablet form, has there been consideration to trying the liquid formulation? (Apologies if you have already tried it)

In terms of medication, quite often it can be something in the formulation, rather than an active ingredient causing issues.

I'm there next if lower dose is proving by blood test to be a negative resource. I'm trying to get rid of strong painkillers or at least only use them when back/neck/leg is very painful. But using for the suspected gallbladder (internal side pain) which needs maximum doses of codeine+ separate paracetamol. Just awaiting a MRCP appointment.
I've had levothyroxine reduced and checking it's effect on T4 on Friday. I've had my perindopril reduced and have always been on 8mg since I started using it in 2009. I had Furosemide stopped but I blow up like a puffer fish, especially my left leg and foot. So I've lost the 9lb I'd gained by stopping it. Ironically it is a great influence on insulin need. However so far it's positive affect on stopping it hasn't gone undone. Don't ask my why but I'm keeping my fingers crossed it doesnt gradually catch up on me. It shouldn't as its affect was resulted instantly. I keep an open mind and I'm ready for any eventuallity. Fingers crossed all positive, for now.
Just want to get rid of 4hrly 60mg codeine. Then metformin's tweek. Also sitagliptin has been brought out on standby to. We are all ready and on the same page. :) :) :)

Editted to amend not 16mg codeine but 60mg x4 daily.

Hi there, I don't really know too much about C Peptide ranges, I remember mine was '149' and I don't even know what it's measured in, they said to me 'that's the low end of normal'. x
