I may take out collar also.
Poor dog he looks like a mangled pugilist.
I would have said boxer but that would have caused confusion!

I fell asleep. Neighbour finally put on his Xmas lights and so I was able to check out the shower curtains I had bought today. There were three I got. The intention was to cut them up to fit the window. Just flat, no gathers. I have some weird Velcro stuff I bought, which should attach to the window or the frame. But I needed to see which shower curtain was the most effective to diffuse the intense piercing flashing changing coloured lights (a little light glow would be fine, just not the intense migraine inducing, and could cause an epileptic fit lights). I was pleased with the one that appeared to work the best. But I need some meths to prepare the surface to stick the Velcro type stuff. I don't know where my meths is. It used to be under the kitchen sink, but the close proximity to the gas meter worried me so I moved it far away...

On half the bathroom window ledge is a shoe rack currently which has plants on it. This worked last year to partially shield the flashing lights to a lesser intensity. But the horrid neighbour bought new multicoloured flashing lights this year, and so it didn't work. I bought a second shoe rack today, so that will house plants on the other side of the window ledge. I need to pot the myriad baby spider plants there.

The shower curtain appears to let in natural daylight, without darkening the bathroom too much. And looks pleasant with its delicate leaf pattern. The whole thing is something that can stay there all year without me having to take it down and put back up again next year.

So this is all my job/project tomorrow. In addition to starting/working out the outside Xmas grotto, which should look great with the Xmas themed rubber ducks, and my cd video discs as well.

I feel positive again now. I was down hearted earlier. I was over tired.

Internet has come back, it was dead as a door nail earlier. What is this painting? It started as a waterfall, and I didn't like it, so carried on working in Procreate using Liquify setting. Now I emotionally like this painting.

Coming back to this.

Have to wonder if we are making a terrible mistake

Not sure How in depth this is for everyone else.
But for London, my area rising fast...tho still for the moment under average... just

But when I zoom and look at nearby areas, that are mere streets Way, they are some way above the average.

Yet we are All in tier 2. ?

I understand, with the greatest respect how some area might be a longish bus ride into the next conurbation, but for London, as above, a walk across a main road takes me from way below average to far above average..and it's all rising

While I appreciate I can use gym, get haircut ,( sorely needed) and get back to work
Isn't this just going to create the same disaster London suffered early on, when we led the country in cases and deaths

With open season on congregating, over chrimbo, I think the new year will bring tough lockdown and bad news in its wake down here if nowhere else.

Hope I'm wrong..really do.

Hi genn.

Late reply.

Wasn't sure what to say.

Hugs for the history
What a dreadful time you had , barely covers it

Then to find Mr insensitive as a neighbour...jeez

I do like how you are tackling the issue.
Though am conscious there is probably a little "Taken," quote lurking within the storyline.
I hope Mr insensitive never has to realise how many buttons he is pushing ...selfish ****..( insert word of choice..(mines cats. From the UN, of course )

The endless adaptations to your plan..bravo

Did like the CD curtain .

Like the idea the very lights he has will be bouncing off his ceiling like a bad 70's disco ball all night long.

Long live the fight.
Go well the battle.

Head held high, we remain undefeated.

Take care
Enjoy what rest you can

I have a wobble on all this @jjraak
It feels like something bad this way is coming.
It might just be me being hypersensitive.
But yesterday Thursday 26 November the tiny retail park of three shops, Lidl, The Range, B&M, were absolutely packed. The car park was full. It never is full, it is not the retail park of choice round here.
But yesterday it was as packed as if it was Xmas Eve shopping. And in these shops, the aisles were packed, no social distancing. People jostling. There was no following of Covid rules. It was definitely all pre-Covid apart from the masks, now commonly worn under the nose. There was a lot of sneezing and coughing.
It is like everyone has crawled out of the woodwork, and grabbing Xmas shopping while they can. Thursday is never a busy day round here. And the roads were packed too, to near gridlock. They are never packed on a Thursday.
I felt very vulnerable there especially on my mobility scooter because I am under everybody, so to speak.

Our Welsh First Minister has promised us Xmas before another lockdown.

Like you I fear something.

Thank you @jjraak

Mr Insensitive has no idea how many buttons he is pushing.

Like you say, I do have 'skills' from my past which I could put to use...

I do get tired and weary at times, as you probably realise, but I always bounce back...

I do say to myself 'But I don't need to have any more challenges to make me any stronger.' But the challenges keep on coming. And "I will survive". I was doing a course in the the 1990's, with a great amazing fantastic group of people. I was in a wheelchair then to get round the campus. One crazy drunken evening we were at the disco and Gloria Gaynor's song was being played. I couldn't hear anything then, I hadn't had the cochlear implant then. But they wanted me to understand the lyrics, and so while someone was doing crazy things with my wheelchair, someone else was at the front of me, holding on the wheelchair, mouthing the words of the song for me. Such a sense of belonging for me. Then on the way back to the dorm, they were letting go of my wheelchair down the hill, my wheelchair and me freewheeling and they were racing me. But the wheelchair with me in was faster....then a car with headlights came towards me. He managed to avoid me.

I survived

Life is for living.

I agree with you,
"Long live the fight.
Go well the battle.

Head held high, we remain undefeated."

And we do need to take some crazy chances.
Take care.
Enjoy life.

Today is the day I am gonna get this darned commentary done! I moved the folding desk from my office up to my loft room and the phones and iPad and my Apple Watch will stay downstairs so I have NO distractions and get this DONE from the moment the cave dweller leaves to the moment when I finally get it finished!

Have a spiffing day, everyone!

I think for the first time the real importance of bubbles (now... that's a sentence I never thought I would write as a trained journalist!) is becoming clear and even if BoJo and chums give us their Christmas leeway there is still some thought to be had about how to do this...!
I totally agree with you, especially as we are so close to having an effective vaccine and in not too many months time we can socialise to our heart's content without risking anyone's life.

Interesting piece of modern art flowing here. Shower curtain sounds like a solution found. Have fun with the Xmas grotto - photographic evidence once completed.

Absolutely, we are in Level 3 and yet rural but 5 miles away is Cannock, 15 miles The Potteries both places we avoid. I suppose at least putting the whole area into highest level sort of levels us all out and hopefully keeps everyone behaving accordingly but I doubt it will, then there is the farce of Christmas controlled freedom. Like you say something wicked this way comes.

Good morning everyone from a wonderfully quiet morning here in the dark and dangerous north

The wonder wheel of roasted cauliflower with a romesco sauce came in at 4.9 this am

Trouble at mill or is it going to be something rotten in the kingdom of Mordor? Back bench tummy rumblings about the party generals next 2 week plan. Still, gives the promoters of misinformation and deceit at the beeb something to waffle about. Someone may even write a song about it or produce an off the wall puppet show. It’s life Jim, but not as we know it.

Choices for the festive season have already been made - bit sad - facetime/zoom calls are probably going to be used throughout the day - hopefully I will be able to get one or two sprouts before Brussels bans their export - patio heaters are in short supply I have heard - thank goodness for that.

Did a painting on my flimsy yellow rice paper yesterday - it didn’t come out too well and I also discovered that I had another sheet below - drat. Binned the original effort and just joined up the splodges that had seeped into the sheet below.
Have a great day if you can - I hear that it’s Friday. Take responsibility for making your own life beautiful. Koffy time.

Splodge are good, shame you had to waste your paper, still can't win em all, do like the created art used on the splodges shows you have a good eye and imaginative soul. Trees and rocks what more can one want from a landscape.

Christmas rules are difficult as if we meet with son and daughters family at same time, good for us, it immediately means they can only meet with one other group, Daughters partner does have two brothers and mom and dad, son many close friends who have invited him, we may sacrifice our meeting them and resort to Zoom.

Good Morning and 6.2 for me today, 4.3 after meal last night, who knows what mysterious chemistry goes on through the night?

Damp, Misty and fog according to Met Office, clear as a bell according to my eye sight.

Off to MILs to clean :banghead: MRs MC had a dream that MIL paid a visit from Care Home, very upbeat and insisted that all her windows will be cleaned inside and out, Mrs MCs taken this as some sort of omen and so that's my day scuppered.

Do the best you can with time today. Keep safe.
