I did a 5 mile walk today with a group from my area. I met a "colleague" for the first ttime. she's an Asian Lady, who like me volunteers with folks with learning difficulties. She started walking as part of a Health Care Course. One of her options was "healthy Diet". I told her that I'm a rebel on that subject and don't think that low fat/high carb is healthy. She told me that in her community, If someone gets over weight and starts to show signs of diabetes, the traditional advice is to eat fewer chappattis.( in other words, reduce the carbs.)

Hi Hanadr,
Yes, good advice, I'm down to just one now after usually eating at least 3. I also usually have a vindaloo on the grounds that it's not likely to be in my system for too long! Roll on Sunday - it's curry night.
