I think it's a great book but after a couple of years of insulin use I dont often refer to it, except on occasion.

Glad you have another couple of days to read and digest it. You'll probably find you dip in and out of it as time goes on and you get a handle on it (assuming you start), but for me it cleared up so many things that any anxiety towards starting insulin disappeared.

I too would query the diagnosis. Your time on oral treatment has been short. However if you do happen to have a slow developing T1, Insulin will be your only route.
Having said that, have you tried low carbing?

more like no carbing for the past two weeks

Its so strange my last HBa1 was 7% was well controlled for nearly two years

I had been great on just metformin and diet and gym

Then over the past month bg readings crept up despite everything I tried, Im a Theatre nurse so I knew a little Then glicazide didnt change anything, then tried a further dose, then naughty I know but tried an extra 80mg tab at lunchtime... nothing the only way I can get them down to 11 to 15 is by no carbs at all!!!!

Was going to clinic today but they have cancelled till monday

Im lost to know whats going on Im a bit old for Type 1.5 Im 55
