What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

6.5 for me this morning. After a non-fasting day this number isn't alarming though I would have liked something in 5 considering I have been such a good boy. Fasting day today so it will come down. :)

It took several attempts to get any blood at all. Hands were warm, but no blood. In the end I had to put the lancet setting to 5. Usually 3 will do. Even then it was like drawing blood from a stone.

Do any of you struggle to get blood in the mornings. If so what do you do about it.
Were you dehydrated because that can make a difference .

9.1 yesterday even though low carbed as such and good sleep ...8.6 this am but I did have lots of carby things ( Birthday treats).
Happy birthday - just say World Leading and walk away from the meter.

Good morning all.

Fasting levels were 5.2 yesterday and 4.6 today (after some wine last night).

@Ryhia -- Hugs for the unexplained higher levels lately.
@PenguinMum and @DJC3 -- Also a big hug from me. So very frustrating.
Do you find your FBG is lower if you have wine the night before?

5.9 this morning First day in my new job so I’m happy to have a 5 of any description as I’m a bit nervous about it.
Congratulations and good luck with the new job! I am sure you will be great at it x

Welcome @RachelK. My fbg was 5.4 after the roast beef and Yorkshire. Stayed in the low 4s from about 4.00 pm - mealtime - to 3.30 - 4.45 am - trend wake up. Exercise bike session, glass of red with meal and double bourbon contained the spike well enough.

This morning I had an awesome reading of 5 but I have essentially been doing keto in combination with walking 2+hrs a day to get that.
