Self funding Freestyle/CGM

Hello LADAs

Am on insulin now and my control, although better, is still giving me cause for concern. I get highs in the morning. There is definitely something going on at night that causes these highs. After getting a 10.3 this morning for no apparent reason I am going to try a CGM, even if it is just for a few weeks to try and get to the bottom of this problem.

The first one that springs to mind is the Freestyle. Any suggestions? I have a brand new mobile phone, does this mean I can download an app and not have to have a reader? I am rather clueless so some advice from experienced users would be great.

Your phone will need to have NFC chip. Then get Librelink app. Create a Libreview account on Abbott server when you install app and you're good to go.
